I'm weighing my options...

Intervene

vs.

Watch SMJHL burn

I'm liking the second one, but first seems more responsible

You heard it here first, the guy who can't speak English is confirming that I'm  going to be a waitress because my degree will be useless.

not if you become a lawyer, it would be useful. Also it doesn't look like my "english" is affecting in any of my classes right now. I haven't got lower than 75% in any of my essays.

Toast has not responded, so I will come to the official verdict:

So, I do agree with Buster, he was updated and played at 400TPE, however, 44 did ask not to be updated in the SHL, and it is not an official rule that there are auto-updates. So technically that was legal for him to do.

It is on the fault of the updater, and 44 will be allowed back in the SMJHL. I apologize Buster, but the truth is, 44 had no way of finding out that he was to be auto-updated as we don't have it in the rules. It will become a rule after this, but prior to this, it was not visible in the rules, and therefore we cannot punish 44.

If Toast contradicts me on this matter and points out something I missed, I will gladly change it, but only Toast can sway my decision

First year instructors are reminded to have everyone with good grades if they can... Because if they get 50-60% first year then those people are likely to drop out and the University will lose money Smile

depends on what you want to be I think, they don't give out free grades in sciences/Engineering/Math classes. probably only english, etc.

First year depending on the program (especial stuff like social sciences - poli sci the traditional entry into law school)... Mine was a joke... My school even had teachers contacting students because they had poor grades and wanted them to do everything possible for them to succeed (so they said... but in reality anyone with a brain knows 1st year is all about getting you hooked into the program and getting your money in)... My favourite was getting grades for showing up to class lmao

Ya i know it is more than knowing the language. Post grad studies are usually a waste of time unless its being a doctor which is a specific field ( Like Engineering/Accounting/Etc).

Thats all post grad is. Studying a specific field

That's what post-grad is for.... if you want to be general... or just general knowledge you get the standard degree... Which is what boon also said Smile
