I am scared when people find the only thing good about the Oilers Organization in Todd Nelson. ![]() ![]() Registered S25 Challenge Cup Champion
Lots of belief is Trotz didnt want to come back an played out his contract. He was not fired

They won a championship fairly recently and are first in their division and he's coached some real promising players. I'll take it. Eakins made a lot of rookie mistakes this year and we should've had a more Veteran Associate Coach not one of his AHL Buddies to tell him that that system sucks ass(Swarm) or how to handle certain situations correctly. Also him keeping some of the worse assistant coaches in the NHL who have been behind the rebuild for most of the years was dumb. Also you have to consider that he was coaching the Edmonton Oilers. ![]() ![]() Registered Posting Freak Quote:Originally posted by Hallsy@Apr 15 2014, 12:46 AMYour guys mistake was firing Krueger honestly I thought he had you guys going in the right direction. ![]() Registered S17, S37 Challenge Cup Champion
Eakins was set up to fail like Trotz in Nashville..... Lucky for Trotz he was let out of his contract early (June 30th expires) to find another coaching gig if he wants. If this was all about promoting Trotz to Hockey Operations they would have just kept him around and let him not out of his contract.
Code: Credit to Wasty and Steelhead for the sigs - thanks dudes! ![]() ACP Access S20, S21, S25,S51 Smelly Fart Champion 2.0 Quote:Originally posted by Secord@Apr 14 2014, 09:51 PM Really, Ralph was a great special teams coach and we could've used him on the PP. Eakins on the other hand is a better even strength coach in my mind awhile being a shit PP coach. We need more shots/points from the back-end, better scoring depth, better zone exits, Less giveaways and our 20% Power-play back. and Edmonton MIGHT be a play-off team. ![]() ![]() ACP Access S20, S21, S25,S51 Smelly Fart Champion 2.0 Quote:Originally posted by BigTittySmitty@Apr 14 2014, 10:00 PM Considering the fact that Edmonton Oilers roster go better from a 7th place finish and being in a playoff spot TD. As weird as it sounds, we should've went after Bouweester, He a minute eating dman that Oilers need and he can produce some offence, move the puck out, etc. That was the last time a top pairing defender got traded and it was for relatively cheap. ![]() ![]() Registered S17, S37 Challenge Cup Champion Quote:Originally posted by Hallsy@Apr 15 2014, 01:03 AM Problem with JayBo was he sucked coming out of Calgary and that was the Flames management maximizing a not so great asset. Him in St. Louis revitalized his career... him in Edmonton.. most likely not. Ready to see what records will be broken next year
![]() steve simmons â€@simmonssteve It appears as though Todd McLellan is staying with the Sharks, which means expect the Leafs to confirm the return of Carlyle any day soon. ![]() Registered Junior Member
I've heard rumours that if Babcock breaks ties with Detroit he will be here in Toronto. Especially now that Shanahan is here.
