2014-15 Ottawa Senators Discussion

Nah, Vancouver is a joke so no reason to hate them. Boston I like a good portion of their roster (Bergeron, Krejci, Hamilton, Chara, Rask, Ericsson, Lucic), Marchand is the only one I actively dislike on Boston, and the Kings are also in my top 3 because they are our biggest division Rivals Tongue

Sens I just cannot stand, I hate Karlsson, I hate Bobby, I hate Turris, I hate Neil, I hate Phillips and one of my top 5 most hated players in the entire NHL is Alfredsson, I know he's not on the team anymore but he's still one I associate with them.
Wait........are you a Ducks fan? :o

I ask because I read the Alfredsson thing and remembered when he shot the puck at Neidermeyer...and then I read your post again and saw that the Kings are your "biggest division rivals". That was like Duck sighting, confirmed.

It's okay, Alfredsson isn't as classy as he's portrayed....that Neidermeyer shot was gutless.

As if Karlsson is the ninth captain. Considering Ottawa has been a team for only twenty years and Alfie was captain for half

Well, Yashin and Spezza were both captains for one year.

Two worst captain decisions ever. Yashin sat out a season due to a contract dispute (really? come on now) and Spezza got tired of being told he sucks lol!!!

- Maxy and I won't be discussing hockey in the locker room any time soon, that is for sure, lol.

- Carleton v Ottawa U is pretty much spot on. I'm a Carleton alum and my GF is an alum of both universities. She has nothing positive to say about Ottawa U really.

- I actually grew up in Kanata, I remember being super happy for the arena back then. XD Putting it in the Flats would be great, even moreso when they finally build the LRT. If I'm still in the city when/if that happens it'd be a much nicer trip then going all the way out west.

Andren Akerson (Present)
Adrik Baranov (S55 to S70)
Rurik Razin (S32 to S44)
Roy Razin (S17 to S32) (HOF/Rage HOF)
Audun Wissink (S5 to S15)

- I don't mind he's a Ducks fan Tongue

- LOL great, so my feelings toward Ottawa U are somewhat justified! So, I'm not biased Tongue

- Ugh....bussed to Kanata once at night. Solid hour and a half.

In retrospect, please no more Greening in general. And I wish we still had Silfverberg....but it was necessary I guess, to bring in Ryan.

What's the worst things Ottawa has done, in your opinion?

In order:
1. Drafted Brian Lee ninth overall in 2005. Seriously? That draft class was STACKED. Kopitar, nuff said.
2. Redden > Chara. Another "ARE YOU KIDDING ME" moment.
3. Trading Hossa. Not sure if there was a reason for him to go, but he's the reason I like hockey..and right now, he's looking better than Heatly.
4. Bishop for Conacher trade. Knew it was stupid from the start.
5. Hiring Craig Hartsburg. Seriously, where did they find this guy?

Redden was a very good defender. Obviously not Chara talent wise but still very good. And when he was traded he looked like a gizel on skates so there is that too

Bishop Conacher was a coin toss nobody woulda expected him to go full Vezina mode. (And ur certainly not the first team in the last 5 years to make a bad G trade. See WSH,PHI.). At the same time no one expected Conacher to just stop producing like.instantly.

Lee was a bad call but Diagle was worse sooo lol.

Hossa i believe was budget and Heatly was a great player back then and still signed.

I believe he was a AHL coach
