VANCOUVER, B.C., CANADA -- Building upon the earlier announcement made by Magnus Jakobsen and his agent Banackock in regards to the first ever Whalers scholarship, RS91 Player Agency has called for a press conference in Vancouver to discuss their partnership with the Vancouver Whalers organization as well as Jakobsen and his agent Banackock. We go there live now.
(L-R)Spezza, Banackock, Jakobsen arriving in Vancouver earlier in the day for their two announcements. --- MC: Thank you for joining us today. Without further ado we'd like to introduce the owner and operator of RS91 Player Agency, Robert Spezza. Spezza: Thank you for coming on such short notice tonight. I'd like to begin this conference by saying that I am very proud of all RS91 players on their being drafted both into the SHL and SMJHL. It will be an honor and a privilege to represent each and every single one of them throughout their careers. I'm here tonight to announce RS91's partnership with the Vancouver Whalers organization as well as Banackock and Magnus Jakobsen to combine and create the RS91 & Jakobsen Award. The award will be awarded each and every year to a Vancouver Whalers rookie that is judged to be most dedicated to self and team improvement. Along with the honor of being forever immortalized as a member of the Vancouver Whalers the award will also carry a $3,000,000 award. RS91 has agreed to cover half of the award money. We are very proud to have been given this opportunity and we feel that Vancouver is the correct organization to do this with as a majority of our clients are current and past Vancouver Whalers. The primary reason behind this award is our understanding that while the starts of the SHL are vital so are the future stars developing in the SMJHL. We believe that if we encourage and reward players at a young age they are more likely to succeed at a higher level. If anyone has any questions we will open the floor now. --- There you have it folks! The newly minted RS91 & Jakobsen Award. In the words of RS91 owner and operator Robert Spezza, the award will be given each year to the rookie most dedicated to self and team improvement. Plus there's a sweet $3,000,000 included with the award! Code: 391 words Code: Award will be given to the Whalers rookie who remains active while earning the most TPE during their rookie season. |
