Center-Evandrus Jesster: Montreal Impact
The player that would center the Rookies in the tournament would have to be Evandrus Jesster of the Montreal Impact. 2nd overall pick in the S24 SMJHL Draft, Jesster knows how to play hockey. He is the top TPE earner out of the Rookies and considers himself a sniper. In 20 games so far in the season, he has a total of 6 goals and 12 assists, for a total of 18 points. With a respectable +5, 10 Penalty Minutes, and an almost 50% Face Off percentage, Jesster is the obvious choice to center the Rookies.

Right Wing-Robb Wind: St. Louis Scarecrows
Who else to put in this position for the Rookie team than the first overall draft pick in the S24 SMJHL draft? Robb Wind is second overall TPE earner thus far for the rookies. In the 20 games so far, he has scored 6 times and added 8 assists for a total of 14 points. He is a highly disciplined player with 0 Penalty Minutes thus far. His only downside seems to be his plus/minus category where he is at -8. Also being a sniper, Wind and Jesster will surely light up the Send-Down goalie with a ton of shots.

Left Wing- Zack Hoover: Vancouver Whalers
With two snipers being the center and right wing, a playmaker would be ideal to place on the wing in this situation. Zack Hoover could be the winger that Jesster and Wind would need to take their game to the next level against the Send-Downs. With 7 goals and 8 assists on a very poor, struggling Vancouver Whalers team, Hoover knows what it takes to get points in the league. At a +3 and 6 Penalty Minutes, Hoover would be able to help the Rookies succeed over the Send-Downs.

Left D- Jasper Clayton: Detroit Falcons
Playing Left Defense for the Rookies would be Jasper Clayton. Drafted 8th overall by the Detroit Falcons, Clayton knows what it takes to win hockey games. He has scored 2 goals (one of which was a GWG) and put up 10 assists for a total of 12 points through 20 games. A disciplined and offensive defenseman, Clayton will help dish out passes to the forwards while also keeping the puck out of the net for the Rookie team.

Right D-John Matthews: St. Louis Scarecrows
John Matthews would be my choice for playing Right Defense for the Rookies. He has surprised many and could be considered one of the best steals of the draft. Through 20 games, he has put up 16 points (3 goals, 13 assists) while remaining at a +1. Along with Clayton, the blue line is stacked for the Rookies.

Goalie-Austin Lemieux: Detroit Falcons
Austin Lemieux is the only obvious choice for manning the net for the Rookie squad. The best ranked and rated goalie in the S24 SMJHL, Lemieux has kept pucks out of the net and has been fantastic for the Falcons. With 11 games starting in net, Lemieux has 6 wins, 3 losses, and 1 overtime loss. With a 3.26 Goals Against Average, and .863 Save Percentage, Lemieux is the lock for the starting goalie Rookies.
