I came into this league not really knowing what to expect. I certainly did not foresee it being such an amazing place and an awesome time. Even before the draft, I had an idea of where I wanted to go and also where I did not want to go. I was able to form a solid opinion on all the teams... except for one. Turns out that one team that I had not been in contact with a single representative of or even knew anything about was the one which drafted me... the Montreal Impact.

After being drafted, I immediately fell in love as soon as I was able to talk with the GMs, current players, alumni, and my fellow draftees. Everyone was excited about the team's future and it would be hard to say that anyone drafted better that night than ArGarBarGar and BluesBoy, who surprisingly were also very open to suggestions not only from other members of the organization but from the draftees. It felt good to be valued from the very beginning.

The regular seasons itself was full of ups and downs. We started off the season strong and fell into a bit of a slump. We ripped out an eight game win streak... and then we lost a ton of games before finally ramping things back up at the end of the season. My individual performance was pretty dreadful. But it's behind me as everyone has a clean slate now in the playoffs and the only thing on my mind right now is beating the Scarecrows.

Why do I believe we will not only beat the Scarecrows but also win the Four Star Cup? Well, it's because I believe in my teammates. We're a super talented team. With the scoring ability of guys like Killington, Jesster, Gerrard, and myself, the perfect passing we get from Falk and Welch, the great defense out of Wolff, Liddy, Wagner, Morenov, and Mack, and, of course, Ciarelli's outstanding goaltending, we're a force to be reckoned with. We're being underestimated for sure right now. But that's exactly where we want to be and we're okay with that. We know how it feels to struggle and we know how it feels to feel as if absolutely everything is going right. Our mindset is at the perfect level going into the playoffs and with some extra motivation to fuck up Robb Wind's season, nothing can stop us. Vive Le'Impact!
