Registered S30, S31 and S33 Challenge Cup Champion and Wonderbolt Code: 3,516 Words So I hit it 1,000 while ago and forgot to post a thing until I just saw Allen's. You know what to do. Do the thing and I'll write about you. Thanks everyone for coming out. It was a lot of fun. See you all when I hit 5,000? (Or maybe 10,000). Spangle: I simultaneously love and hate you for the way you revealed all the GM cuts along the way. I was just sitting there, waiting to see who was finally going to make it through and you went all reality show host on us. You had us hanging on to your every word. You held all the power in your hands, and you dangled the results right in front of us. Like hanging raw meat in front of a dog. And we sat there, our eyes on the prize. Watching. Waiting. Reading. While you held the entire league in the palm of your hand, savoring every last second. Hoovuh: HOOOOOOOOOOV. Who misses their own damn draft??? Seriously, bro. You went fourth overall, the entire group of rookies collectively spamming your name in chat, and you weren't even there for it. Then you go on to tear up the SMJHL as a leader on the last place Whalers, and I barely ever saw you again outside of the SMJHL index, which was sad. But at least I've started to see you more often again. Best of luck in the playoffs, man. Carry those Whalers to victory in the Western Conference, so that we can meet on the ice one last time this season. I'll be waiting for you in the Four Star Cup Finals, Hoov. You'd better be ready to meet me there. Baelor Swift: If I'm going to be completely honest, I didn't really like you that much at first. I don't really know why, I just didn't. That's changed a lot, however, as I've gotten to know you more around the site and I've seen the kind of person you are. I'd love to get the chance to play with you one day, you're going to go far in the SHL. You're definitely one of the strongest forwards in our draft class, and whichever team ends up taking is going to get a great player, and a lord of his domain. I can't wait to see what happens to you once you hit the ice in your first SHL game. It's safe to say that, whatever happens, your career is going to be great. BluesBoy71: I honestly haven't seen you around much. . .I should probably venture to more areas of the forums than just the media section, the index, and the Falcons' locker room. But anyway, you've definitely put a great team together on the ice. The Impact have held their own in what is definitely the toughest conference of the two, considering you have to beat out the Falcons and the Scarecrows. If you guys make it out of the first round, I'm really not looking forward to having to play you guys. You really did kill it in the draft this year, so it's safe to say that the Impact are only going to keep on getting better. Best of luck against St. Louis, and maybe we'll see you in round two! 701: It amazes me to see what you can do with graphics. You're definitely one of, if not the best, person on this site when it comes to making sigs. It absolutely amazes and astonishes me each time you create a new one. Whenever I see you're posting over in that section of the forum, I always go right into the thread to see what new creation you've made. Can't wait to see some more of your work in the future! Bojo: Sometimes I have a hard time getting it in my head that the guy with the cute little kitty in his profile picture and a player with the last name Biscuit is actually one of the most badass players in the entire SHL. Actually, the fact that I can never remember that helped me out that one time, when I correctly guessed the penalty minutes you would get and ended up winning $1M. That was pretty cool that you did that, it was a fun way to make use of the new twitter format and get people to actually interact with one another. Carousel182: It's been a great time riding out our first season in the SMJHL together! It's been pretty crazy, but I'm glad we got to spend it together! Except you had to be the first one to complete that first point task, and you started the whole brony thing that has followed me all season, and has somehow managed to become a thing of Falcons' legend now. But it's definitely made things a lot more interesting this year, and it's been pretty funny to see how it's all panned out. Hopefully we can get the Falcons' S25 rookie class to join in on the joke so that this can continue after we've moved on to the SHL in a few seasons, but even so it's definitely been something that's defined our team whether we like it or not. It's also been fun watching you move up all season long - you've been the definition of a most improved player. Always getting better, always having your eye on what comes next. Well, you've only got one thing left to look towards in the SMJHL - really hope we can win that Four Star Cup to cap off your impressive rookie season. The_Mazais: It's been great having you around in the locker room, giving us the perspective of someone who's been around the league for a while. It's been beneficial to have you there, letting us know what we have to look forward to over the next few years here in the SHL. While we don't get to hear from you often, it's always really nice when you decide to stop by! Nereus: I'll say the same thing I said to Hoover - I never see you anymore! Now that the three of us have ended up all across the continent between our three teams, it's not often that I get a chance to talk to you. On the bright side, you haven't gone anywhere since the SMJHL draft so there's a chance that we might get to play together one day once we hit the SHL. Guess we'll find out if that comes sooner or later once we hit the draft. If you guys are the ones to prevail in the playoffs series, you'd damn well better beat the Knights and move on out into the finals. I would love to have the chance to play against you and Prince one last time before the season ends. Also, I should be your favorite British defenseman. Just saying. rfbeaudry: Girard, I have no idea where we'd be without you this season. Both your leadership in the locker room and your play on the ice have done so much to get this team to where we are today. Seriously, it's been an absolute honor having you as my captain this season. I hope that one day we'll get to share the ice together in the SHL, because you've been an inspiration all year long. I'm not sure if this will be your last season down in the SMJHL, or if we're going to have the chance to spend one more year together, but either way I hope we can skate away with a Four Star Cup when it's time to call an end to S24. If we're still together next season, then I hope we get to share the ice together and set up our teammates for big goals on our way to another first place season. Latvian Bastard: Not many of the send downs have spent a ton of time in the Falcons' Locker Room this season, but I'm glad you were one of them. It's been great getting to know you all year, and I hope you get to stay down with Kekkonen for another season! Splitting you guys up was the worst move we made all season, and I'm glad that you two will be playing alongside one another throughout the S24 playoffs. I hope that you two will be able to carry the rest of us to a Four Star Cup this season! Winter Is Coming: Fuck Game of Thrones. Not really. Actually really. I hate that show. And the books. Sorry :(. You're cool though. So it's ok. I just feel bad for that guy in your profile picture, he dies like 30 times a minute whenever I'm in a thread where you are. Just over and over again, he gets an axe to the head. It's really quite depressing. You'd think after the first five-hundred times he'd learn not to put his head there, but nope. He just stays there and keeps getting his head taken off by an axe. Why did I just write so much about your avatar? Anyway, best of luck in the draft. Will be interesting to see if you hold on to your first overall position, or if that goes to Jesster this time around. Or someone else. Like the Viking guy with the really long name that I can't spell. Vihjalmarson or whatever. That guy. See you around the ice (although apparently not this season, because Montreal's kicking you out). GCool: My fellow Brit! I see you around all the time, and you're a really awesome guy. For some reason, no matter how many times I see your name in play by plays or when you post on the forums or wherever I still get a kick out of it. Although it took me like two games to realize that Buster could be abbreviated to "Buzz" so then I felt kind of stupid. . .anyway, I look forward to playing with you for the UK, whether it's this off-season, or the next, or whenever. We'll bring home the gold together, calling it right now! Mac: So I just noticed that your avatar is a gif and not a regular and photo and it just freaked me the fuck out. Like seriously it's really creepy. How did I never notice this before? Well, anyway. I'm glad that I've caught your eye (the one that's not winking, that is), you seem like such an awesome guy. I'm enjoying getting to know you and a lot of the other people in that skype call too, it's been really fun taking part in all this. Hope I get the chance to talk to you more often from here on out! OriginsZ: I see you used to play for the Whalers. Was that when they could still win games? Kidding aside, you seem like a pretty cool guy. I've seen you around the league quite a bit, and you've been really friendly. I'm highly disappointed that you didn't choose to use Tyler Myers to represent your player, especially considering he's a defenseman. I mean, he has the exact same name - how could you choose anyone else! At the same time though, that second sig of yours (the gif) is absolutely unreal. Like, I love it, it looks great. Maybe one day we'll be defensive partners, maybe not, but either way I look forward to meeting you on the ice. Ballerstorm: I love that you quoted me in your signature. Girard deserved to get beaten up for the way he beats up us rookies every day after games. I'm just glad to see that he got what's coming to him. I've really enjoyed watching all of your SHL on Twitch tournaments, it's been really cool to see our players come to life on the ice rather than just reading what the simulator says we're doing in a text-based format. I also really love reading your other media pieces, like the breakdown of the end of season awards or the top ten SMJHL players, for example. They're always really well researched and you go super in-depth into everything to make sure that you get to the core of what matters. It's really impressive, and I hope you keep doing stuff like that. I'd almost always rather read an article that has analysis and research put into it than just read one that's a bunch of fluff, and yours are always good for that highly researched aspect. Allen: I'm pretty sure you managed to sum up my rookie season better than anyone. I thought it was absolutely hilarious the angle you took on my on-ice struggles this season after my performance in the prospects tournament, but I promise you I've fixed those by now . You've definitely emerged as one of the stronger players in our draft class, and I fully expect you to get rewarded for it come the draft. Hopefully I'll be meeting up with you and Hoover in the Four Star Cup finals, or get drafted to the same team in the SHL entry draft. Either way, best of luck from here on out - the Whalers found a gem when they drafted you. burkie94: Burke! It's been great having you in the locker room this season! You've really come alive as of late, getting really involved in both media and in the locker room. The Falcons are definitely lucky to have you. You're going to make a great addition to the first line next season, you and Burch are really going to tear things up. Just make sure you're ready for the passes I'll be dishing to you . I'm glad you've decided to get more involved in the league, you're definitely going to be one of the sleeper picks from the S24 SMJHL draft for sure, and I hope we get to share the ice again once we start playing in the SHL. Can't wait to see the numbers you put up in the playoffs this year, bring us home the Four Star Cup! Storm: I don't even know if you ever found this thread, but you told me to add you so HERE YOU ARE! I'm so glad you added me to that Skype group, because you guys are absolutely awesome. Except Bojo. Bojo was too good - an enforcer on the ice and on the pitch. But anyway, I love having people to play stuff with now, and I hope I get the chance to do it more often. I promise I'll get better at CSGO so you don't have to deal with me being the last person alive and dying before I can even figure out what's going on. Or chasing people down with a knife. Rocket League too. I'll try to score goals that look better than me tapping in a ball on the goal line in a 4v1. I promise. Hope to get to know you and everyone else better now! You all seem like really cool people! mpc: Fine, I guess I've made you wait long enough (though not as long as I've been waiting for that scouting report </3). You've been a great GM in Detroit this season, and your idea to do the scouting reports has definitely increased activity amongst a lot of the players. I love having you in the locker room, because you're always really active and that means there's almost always someone for me to talk to when I'm busy spamming the discussion thread. I also love how vocal you are on twitter about the Falcons season and players, I have to admit that it's pretty the way you structure everything and make it sound more like a real league. Hope we do you proud and win you the Four Star Cup in your first season as a GM, and I look forward to having you here with us in Detroit for a while! Tanner: Hello Tanner! I completely agree, gif should be pronounced with a hard g and not a soft one (at least I think a j sound is a soft g, right?). Jiff is peanut butter, gif is a moving image. It's that simple. You guys have a great interested prospects thread this year, I'm glad I got the chance to fill it out. You should totally pick up rocket league so that we can play it together, it's the best game ever unless Bojo's on the other team. Then it's the worst fucking game ever and Bojo's going to kill everyone. Good luck in the playoffs! TML99: You're a really funny guy. I love that recipe article you did - a great example of satire. I've seen you around the forums quite a bit, and though I don't get to talk to you often it's been a great experience every time we have spoken to each other. Sorry you guys got swept by Montreal (I was kind of hoping you guys would move on to round two) but I'm sure we'll be facing off against each other on the ice again really soon. Enjoy the rest of the playoffs, work on that golf swing, and I'll see you in the draft! BeanSobie: I love being a part of your draft class. You're definitely one of my favorite people in the league. You're such a friendly guy, and I love all of your stuff - you have a great presence on twitter, and you write some damn good articles. You definitely live up to your nickname of "Kuddles" with how friendly you are all the time (well except to Narconis, I guess ). It's too bad that you guys got knocked out of the playoffs so early this year, but you're going to give them a good chance to win the Four Star Cup come next season. Best of luck in the draft, maybe we'll finally get the chance to play together! And now for a couple people who didn't tell me to add them who are getting added anyway. . . enigmatic: You've done really well so far in developing your player, and you're going to be huge in the SHL one day. I'm not looking forward to having to play against you, and always being compared with you, but it's going to give me something to push towards. Hopefully a few seasons from now we'll get the chance to play alongside each other in a draft class tournament, or on an SHL team. Also, I know I've told you this before, but you're probably my favorite graphics creator on the site. I love your style, and the second I get drafted into the SHL I'm going to be bugging you about making one for me in my team's colors. princekyle: I haven't gotten to see much of you or talk to you much since the prospects tournament, but it seems like things have been going pretty well for you thus far. You've been doing great all year for the Firebirds, and it's too bad your season had to end when it did, but I'm sure you guys will bounce back next year. Always glad to hear your name pop up from time to time, and I hope you get the chance at the GM position you mentioned wanting to try your hand at. You inspired all of us coming out of the tournament, and I know none of us will ever forget that we were a part of the #LionsPrise Jesster: You pretty much mentored me through those first few weeks here in the SHL. Even though you already knew your way around the league, you didn't abandon us and make us figure things out on our own - you walked us through everything, and kept us interested in the early days when nothing was happening by doing that prospects tournament in NHL 15. Thanks so much for helping me find my way, and let me know if you're going to any Sabres games this year. Hopefully Eichel and Reinhart turn out to be the two main pieces for us to put our team back together again, and actually have a halfway decent season this time around. Mook: You were the one to decide I was worth a shot. I really appreciate that, and I hope it turned out like you planned. I've loved being a part of the Falcons, there's no other SMJHL team I would rather have been drafted by. You've been such a great help every step of the way, and I probably wouldn't still be here today if you hadn't been so helpful to me, making sure I knew what exactly was going on and how to do anything in the early days on my time in the SMJHL. Can't wait to see what you get done in the upcoming draft, and I really look forward to seeing who my new Falcons' teammates are going to be. Thanks for everything you've done for me, I really appreciate it. LW - Rainbow Dash - Updates
