(Guitar) (Eminem)(Look,) Number eighty-nine passes to Hackshaw (if you had,) passes back to Rowe, (one shot), GOOOAALLL!!! (or one opportunity) UNBELIEVABLE!!! (To seize everything you ever wanted) What an execution (In one moment) and the crowd is losing it. (Would you capture it, or just let it slip) (You better lose yourself in the music, the moment You own it, you better never let it go (go) You only get one shot, do not miss your chance to blow This opportunity comes once in a lifetime. You can do anything you set your mind to, man) I was born into a hockey family, what else can I say? Maybe it could have been more satisfying to be born into a Montreal or Boston but has I got older, Toronto became my family. I remember being young, watching Mats Sundin or Tie Domi in the mid nineties, Once that team hit to ice it was pandemonium in the living room. My mother didn't love hockey to the extent that my father did but she was as supportive as a wife could possibly be. My dad on the other hand loved game. Even though he never made it past High school playing, he would always shout at the TV saying "he should have done this or that" or my favorite line "wait til Don Cherry rips him a new one ha-ha." I started playing hockey when I was five or six. Every winter my friend's father would make an ice rink for the neighbourhood kids and we would play all the time. When my father signed me up in a kids league it was the best gift he could have got me. Most hockey kids wanted new sticks or pads but since we weren't that wealth I was just happy being able to play against other children. My first season was my worst as my father would put it. I feel year after year he would encourage me to become better then I was, showing me new techniques and telling me to listen to the experts on hockey. Him and my old coach are the ones I have to thank, without them I wouldn't know where I'd be today. I know for a fact I wouldn't be in the process of being drafted into the SMJHL. I'm glad where I am and from here on out Im here to make an impact on this league, Do the best I can for my team, body, mind, and soul. I feel like where ever I need to be in life, I'll get there. It's just a matter of time and with the draft approaching soon, there's so many good teams that I can learn from and work with to get me to that point in life where I can say "I'm here, I've finally made it." I can't wait to get into the action to tell the truth, I feel like a kid again. In conclusion, I've never imagined I'd be at this level of competition. I feel I've already accomplished so much, yet I still have a lot to learn to becoming great. #89 Answers to questions: Ballerstrom I know a lot of rookies their first season have wieght on their shoulders with stats and training. My expectation is to learn as much as I can from coaches and players. I can prepare myself for each game and have support through tough situations and keep doing the best I can. I think chemistry plays a bigger role to the whole of the line/team. My strengths are Defense, Face offs and mainly passing right now. I would be good with a sniper and either a power forward or a two way forward. That way we can cover all around aspects of the game hockey. Come practice I'm watching how people play with the puck, themselves, and other teammates. I figure while the coach and teammates are teaching me the ins and outs and can at least maybe sync with their playing style. Dangles13 If I said I didncare when I went in the draft I'd be lying. If I said I wouldn't training harder and give up if I didn't go high in the draft I'd be lying as well. Montreal, I've been in contact with them and I believe I'd be a good new addiction to the team. I've had a lot of help to this point. Eggy's Multi I've been doing research well I'm off ice. I know theres competion in my league so I better do my homework ha-ha. Also family. I'm a father of a beautiful daughter who's 21 months. That's gotta be a talent! I'd say a younger Mats Sundin. Actually, I'm hoping to grow into the veteran he became. SHL has more of an opportunity for me to grow and become an elite member. I'm afraid if I was in the NHL I might be misused. And I didn't even see it coming ha-ha that's awesome WeWantTaro I love hockey in general but I grew up in a Toronto family so I'll bleed blue til I die. Im planning to grow into a strong support player. If I win the face off, I can still pass the puck with good handling and if I lose the draw I can still play good Defense as a back up option. Favorite bar food? Nachos and Pizza TML99 Ha-ha I wish! Instead it was baked beans and grill cheese. Not a good combo just saying. Kessel was and still is my favorite player but I'm glad he went to Pittsburgh. Currently I'd have to say Bernier. The guy has potential but just hasn't got the right people in front of the net. Stanley cup finals for Toronto? Next time I play NHL for PS3 I'll let you know Mac: I got confused a lot, guess I needed to get used to how and where everything is laid out. Improve more action. Everyone involves us rookies in the forum or by giving advice but there's no action! I'd say hold weekly rookie games so when new members join we can get a taste of action instead of waiting for the draft. |
