With Free agency fast approaching for myself I thought I would toss out 1 more ranking for my services before I hit the market. Being that I should be over 1000 TPE in only my 3rd pro season I feel like I have a lot to offer to many teams, and really want to get a chance to enjoy and feel like free agency is like in the SHL. So without any more delay here is my final rankings for preferred destinations this offseason. (2200ish? Words: Total Article not ready to grade)

(S30) Ty Justic – 823 TPE – 2 Way D
(S25) Maria Maximova – 1716 TPE – 2 Way D
(S24) Klaus Wagner – 1437 TPE – Off D
(S20) Bojo Biscuit – 1317 TPE – Def D

- At no point is this a shot at the team WKP has put together but an acknowledgement how deep they are and how well they have drafted. Their top 2 D will not be touched most likely for the next few seasons with Maximova still not in regression and both Wagner and Biscuit with lots to spare still (Although Bojo will start to feel the burn sooner than later). With Justice still growing and not much distance behind myself I can’t see myself being able to crack the top 4 of this teams D any time soon and like most active members want the playing time. A team I actually would love to join, it just wouldn’t work out for my player currently. Plus well they have Alex Light I guess too.

New England -

(S31) Toivo Kosonen – 837 TPE – Off D

- Much like the Platoon the wolfpack have almost unrivaled depth at the Defensive position. With 2 more high picks in the upcoming draft, and the now highest TPE Defenseman league wide they will be a team that will be just to packed for me to realistically get the role and time I am hoping for. With both of their GM’s being Defensemen themselves + a super active 3rd member to add to that, seeing those big minutes as an Offensive minded D man just aren’t there when it is all layed out and added up.


Edmonton -

(S31) Ryan Vas – 561 TPE – 2 Way D
(S24) Windston Windsor – 1211 TPE – Off D
(S23) Viktor Svensson – 824 TPE – 2 Way D
(S20) Barney Stinson – 1196 TPE – 2 Way D

- A team who is staying competitive due to their core being so good for so long, this story is coming to an end slowly but surely. With next to almost no prospects to take some of the soon vacant places on the roster, the Blizzard are on the down swing rather than up. There is room for me for sure, but playing on a team I can’t see competing regularly as I am hitting my prime is not ideal. Hard no.

Manhattan –

(S31) Marc Leclerc – 490 TPE – 2 Way D
(S27) Wendell Luna – 559 TPE – Def D
(S26) Wyatt Wollker – 1252 TPE – Off D
(S23) Pal Vikingstod – 652 TPE – Def D

- Another team that relys heavily on playing its few key actives huge minutes to compete, the Rage are in an awkward spot. Their top end players are starting to hit regress. They have 2 great young players in Redding and Aittokallio, but not a whole hell of a lot after that. I could pair up with Wollker for a few seasons and eat up the minutes for sure, but even he is getting close to regression and with no real prospects in the pipeline in a tight Eastern Conference, I can’t see this as being a top tier destination for myself. Sorry McZherl, you will have to play with your balls on your own.

Toronto -

- The last team to be in the bottom tier. Toronto. What can I say? Your team keeps competing season after season even though when on paper it’s seems like it could swing either way really. There is some pieces that look promising, and RaiN being an old GM of mine (and despite the outcome of recent events) was a pretty awesome guy from my conversations. Toss in old man Grapehead, it’s a pretty decent team of people to play with. But even with that said, Toronto is another team on the decline with no real notable D men around my players age and range. I would most definitely be placed in the top 3 on the team and see some big minutes, but with the team on the cusp of a potential rebuild I just can’t commit to a team that would need time to reach the level I am hoping for.
