The Prospect Tournament is underway here in St. Louis. After 3 games played, Chuck Bernstein, who is playing left wing for the Blazers this tournament, had this to say about his performance:

"It's been fun! We had a great first game. Clint stepped up big from the blue line and set us off to a good start. Took me a minute to find my groove and get the pace of the game, but once the second period came around I think we all started to click together a little bit more. I got a great pass over to Isak who shoveled it to Griffin. An assist on what turned out to be the game winning goal, definitely can't complain about that."

Bernstein went on to score a goal, his first goal of the tournament, in the 3rd period of game 3 for the Blazers. "You know, I just hadn't been shooting the puck enough. I think I had 3 shots on goal in the first two games, so coach told me to start putting some more on net. We were down 4-2 going into the 3rd and I just took it upon myself to get things moving. Yuri hit a shot wide of the net which just kinda slid to me in the open slot and after a good block by their goaltender I was able to hammer home my own rebound. We started to come back a bit and tied it up, but fell short because we took a dumb penalty right there at the end. But hey, that's hockey."

Bernstein is 1 - 1 for 2 points so far with a +1 rating over 3 games. He's tied for 4th in scoring and in a 3-way tie for goals with his fellow prospects. Maybe with a few more games under his belt and some more shots on goal, this two-way forward will start to light up the scoreboard.
