Its the most overblown thing we have in this league. We have arguably the best GM in the SHL in Esa running the ship. We've got some great youth here, if you include me, and our prospects include Thaddeus Prince to take over for Wong eventually, Finn Larsson who's been doing excellent in the SMJHL, and Chuck Goody, Jr. who's the son of a legend. There's a youth movement in Calgary, just everyone is quick to say "OMG THEY'RE SO OLD". Yeah, Esa is old. He's like S18 or something. But he still has enough TPE to play like 3-4 more seasons or something even with regression. Same goes for Pederson. Bubba Nuck is still a stud Defenseman. Randleman is still going to be around a bit. etc. Gagner is only S27 and entering his prime.

So yeah, these guys might be going away sooner than later, but that's why we have 5 picks in the first 3 rounds of this loaded draft, and next season we have 4 picks in the first 2 rounds. Restocking it is! And by the time everyone goes to retire, the new blood will be ready.


We're not going to die soon. Get that out of your head, SHL.
