We are heading to the local Seattle sports bar to see if the Toronto North Stars can defeat the Portland Admirals tonight and win themselves their first Challenge Cup since their existence, 35 seasons in the making!

We decorate the car for our arrival, with flags on each window, with Stars logo on each of them. We also attach the mascot’s head on the top of our car with an arm showing like he’s waving. On the bumper, we’ve got a hart and inside it says “We’ve got Hart”.

Some people might wonder, why would two Seattle Riot players go all out for the Toronto North Stars? Well Michael McFadden has always had great ties to the organisation, and was quoted saying if Seattle were ever to trade him away, Toronto would be one of the top places he would choose to go. As for his teammate, well Rudnikova lost a bet, and has no choice but to go along with the fiasco. She insisted they put a Seattle Riot bumper sticker in the back, at least.

Welcome ladies and gentleman, to the Challenge Cup finals! For what seems like an eternity, we’ve had the Dragons and the Wolfpack run the show in the SHL, and last season we saw a big shocker when the Manhattan Rage defeated the Portland Admirals to take home their prize. Now this season we see what could be the future of the SHL, the Portland Admirals are back in the finals for the 2nd straight season, and one has to wonder if they will be the next heavyweights to run the show in the SHL. Joining them is team who has the longest cupolas streak in SHL history, 35 seasons, the Toronto North Stars.

It promises to be a great matchup, both teams determined to find their first ever championship and both teams hoping they can repeat this form for many seasons to come! Tune in tonight to see the puck drop for game 1 of this epic showdown, and be ready for a thriller!

This season is one of the toughest seasons in a long time to figure out who will be named the most valuable player in the playoffs. We’ve got some high scorers leading the league in scoring in Kristian Eriksson and Damien Wert. There’s the top scorers for Portland in Patrick Brumm and Pedro Sarantez. There’s also a case in goal, for Kyle Wahlgren who has a save percentage way higher than anyone else these playoffs, at .918 and a Goals against average of 2.85.

However, my pick would go to the legend who has been with Toronto his entire career, who has been one of the faces of the franchise and the leaders of this club for so long, and who has announced this will be his final season in the SHL, while he goes off into the sun set with a Challenge Cup. Scoring 6 goals and 13 assists from the blue line, 1 point shy of the league lead and being in the top 2 in shots blocked with 35; Andrey Barbashev.
