TASK ONE: Pick either of the teams currently in the finals. Which game of theirs in the playoffs was the most important/crucial in them getting to this point this season? The North Stars most important game for them making it to the finals was the elimination game against hte West Kendall Platoon. They had the Platoon on the run and a chance to win the series the game prior, but West Kendall lit up Harter and won the game 6-4. The North Stars were looking like chumps because of it, and they needed to finish the series off in the next game before the Platoon thought they could pull a reverse sweep on them. What happened was an amazing show of defense, as the North Stars only allowed one goal against and beat the Platoon 3-1 to make it to the Challenge Cup Finals. What was more impressive is nobody thought the North Stars were even going to get that far, so the fact they were able to beat their previous two oppponents in 11 total games is a feat in and of itself. Now they didn't end up winning it all in the end, but games like the ECF game 5 are reasons why it was still a run to remember, and one the North Stars will be proud of for years to come.

TASK TWO: Who is your choice for the unsung hero of the S37 playoffs up to this point? Must be at least 150 words and include at least two statistics in support.

Zander Rhys is the unsung hero, by far. He has done some amazing things with the North Stars despite being one of the least talked about pieces of that roster. When everyone was looking at Malkin, Rhys was just doing his little things. During the entire playoffs he scored 6 goals and 16 points in 18 games, and could have been a contender for the Ratzon trophy if they had won it. He even tied Malkin in points and scored more goals, the player who may get the Stevens this year. Pretty incredible stuff, in actuality. Not to mention he blocked 26 shots during the entire playoffs as well as registered 35 hits in only 18 games. Considering that nobody has talked about him at all he has done well, and really is the biggest underdog of these playoffs thus far. Something that really takes some doing in this league.

TASK FOUR: Who is the favorite and who is the underdog of this series? Are they almost even, or is there a big skill difference between the two teams? Must be at least 150 words and include at least three statistics in support.

The North Stars are clearly the underdog in the finals. They were not expected to even beat the Chiefs, let alone handle themselves against the Platoon, let alone make a series of it in the finals against the Jets. Yet they were able to beat the Chiefs in 6, the Platoon in 5, and almost pulled it off by losing in seven games to the Jets. The Jets on the other hand had the talent up front, and with their doubleshifting prowess they were able to do some incredible things out there. That is something that makes you the favorite to win. The Jets with Fleming finishing with 30 points was quite the feat in and of itself, and while they didn't have depth, they didn't really need it all things considered. And look at the Jets star players. They had 7 players at a ppg or more, due to the doubleshifting of course, but that is a lot of talent.
