There are three players that stand out currently for the Vancouver Whalers this season: Shaun Stephens, Dude Love and Ostap Maksimov.

The Whalers are not currently in a playoff spot, but it would be even worse without Shaun Stephens as he is the teamâ€™s leading scorer. Shaun has posted 15 goals, and 19 assists for 34 points this season, in 33 games! Shaun is also averaging over 24 minutes a game, which ranks him first on the Whalers.

The next player is Dude Love, who is arguably the Whalers best defenseman this season, posting 9 goals, and 16 assists for 24 points on the season. He is posting these impressive numbers while staying out of the box, and only post 19 penalty minutes during the season so far. Love has also been impressive on the power play by posting 11 points so far this season.

Finally, is rookie Ostap Maksimov, who was the third defenseman taken this season by the Whalers. Maksimov currently leads rookie defenceman on the Whalers for points with 1 goal, and 10 assists for 11 points. However, Maksimov leads the team in plus minus with a plus 8! Another impressive stat for Maksimov is his 46 blocked shots, which ranks second on the Whalers.
