How would you describe your experience as a Raider?
Great. I've met a lot of really cool people from being with the Raiders. I feel pretty lucky that I was able to found a team and sort of build the team from the ground up. Winning a chmpionship in our 2nd season was pretty incredible. At that point the team was pretty much the original Raiders squad, that was a lot of fun. The most fun I had though was probably season 30. Reflieux was a send down with a couple other highly notable players like Colin Banning, Richard C. Hocolate and Blake Battle. What really stood out though was the energy of the rookie class. Players like Volkova, Isaac Kaiser, Kosonen, Pel, Komarov, Iversen... The list goes on, it was a great team and the end result was perfect. It's been a blast to watch the next generations of Raiders come through and I love that the organization has continued to be a great place for SMJHL players to develop into elite SHL talent.


How do you think Halifax faired this past SMJHL draft?
I think Halifax did excellent. 44 and Shmurph brought in a great mix of people who along with last seasons impressive rookie group will help the Raiders be contenders for a Four Star Cup. I'm a huge fan of Kolja and obviously McGregor has a lot of potential as well! I think the team did a great job acquiring assets that led to a very impressive haul.


How would you describe the relations between Raiders alumni and current players?I think relations are very good. I can't really speak for everybody when answering this question, but I've never seen anything as far as a public fued between players/alumni in the organization. I hope that people remain connected with the team after they move on to the SHL.
