Task 1: Now that the finals are over, it doesn’t really matter who I want to win the finals, but thankfully, the team I wanted to win ended up taking home the Challenge Cup. The West Kendall Platoon was the team that I rooted for once my team, the Edmonton Blizzard, were eliminated. I wanted West Kendall to win because they have had so many seasons of playoff struggles and I just wanted to see them succeed and to finally get that cup, which they did. The Platoon finally ended their curse, which is great to see. There are many great people on that team that I am glad to see win such as bojo, arty, and ej. These guys are class acts and definitely deserved to win the championship. West Kendall’s management and nothing but class, and to see them and the organization finally being rewarded is a great thing. Congrats West Kendall!

Task 2: In my opinion, Los Angeles Panthers goaltender Evgueni Marmeladov was definitely and without a doubt the unsung hero of the playoffs. Los Angeles is a great team but there is no way that they would have made it as far as they did without the outstanding play of Marmeladov. Since the Panthers ended up losing in the finals, Marmeladov is often overlooked, but he was truly great in the playoffs. With a .907 save percentage and 3.09 goals against average with 2 shutouts in the playoffs, Marmeladov put on his big boy pants and led the Los Angelo Panthers to a close finish with the West Kendall Platoon. If the rest of the Panthers played just a little better in front of Marmeladov, I believe that this would have pushed the Panthers over the top. Marmeladov played better than his stats suggested, and due to this, Evgueni Marmeladov is my unsung hero of the playoffs

Task 6: The Los Angeles Panthers, in their first finals game at home, put on a crazy, interesting, and violent display for their pre game performance on the ice to get their fans rowdy and ready for the game and the series. The show started with the ice turning into a grass scenery, displaying an outdoor setting. Then, coming through the giant panther head that is in the arena, two huge panthers sprawled and prowled out onto the ice. They roared and shook the arena as the crowd cheered. Then, someone up in the rafters of the arena released two eagles into the arena, and the swooped down towards the panthers. The pairs of animals began to fight, claw for claw. In the end, the two panthers came out victorious to the joy of the crowd. Unfortunately, many liberals in Los Angeles did not approve of this animal fighting and the Panthers organization was sued by PITA and they lost the case.
