Junior Spotlight: Physical Presence
From tonights game, the player that had the greatest physical presence was Pierre Laroche-Durocher from the Halifax Raiders. He had three hits, and two shots blocked. He was sacrificing his body the entire game, not being afraid to block a shot or throw a hit. One of the major hits of the night came from Pierre in a race for the puck with Nicholas Falk. Falk gets ahead of the Pierre, but hesitates to pick the puck up. This hesitation allows Pierre to get in close and ride Falk into the boards for a monster hit. Later on in the night, Pierre would sacrifice his body to block a shot from the point from Daniel Karlsson. Pierre reads the play, and sidesteps a St. Louis player to block the shot. A minute later, Pierre would again block a shot, this time from Lil Manius.
