In the second pair of defensemen, Rytmeyr struggled up and down the ice. While on the ice for both goals, it was the young defenseman who just couldn't muster the grit to make an impact. Giving up on plays, not going hard into the corners and errant passes plagued him regularly. Rumblings of a possible benching mid-way through the game surfaced in the media room, but no clarifications were made. Understandable as such, look to see Rytmeyr on the ice less if he doesn't raise his level of play.
