Schmidt had his work cut out for him in the first period facing 20 shots. He did well a) things considered before giving up two late power play goals. He is good but he can't carry a team.
Things slowed down dramatically in the second period as Detroit toom a breather. St. Louis managed 5 shots to Detroit's 4 but Robinson never looked stressed in goal.
Two more power play goals for Detroit in the third period sealed this one. St. Louis' penalty killing unit was atrocious stopping only one on four attempts. Bad night.
