Welcome to the 14th edition of the Shot Blocker of the Game award. Tonight's winner is a newbie to the award, Wolfhard Richter of the Detroit Falcons.

Detroit is battling for playoff positioning and as such it is great to see someone like Wolfhard putting in the effort and taking the pain to try and keep the puck out of his net. His highlight came early in the 3rd as Nico Wallner slapped a pair of clappers from the point looking to extend the lead. Richter took 2 to the hip as he dropped to keep both out of harms way. Though the Falcons would drop the final decision by that 2-1 score he preserved, he gave his all for his team on that play.
