Maui and the Colorado Raptors are on the up and up after a season that ended a little premature. The Raps made an unexpected run into the playoffs with a roster anchored by veteran presence on the blueline yet full of rookies forwards. The team clawed their way into the top of the league only to be dispatched early on. Following their early exit from the playoffs, Raptors' GMs found themselves both parting ways with the organization. Flappy got the call to go to the show when Winnipeg of the SHL decided to hire Flappy to fill their vacant GM position. On the other hand, InciteHysteria announced his retirement from the league. The departures of both of the GMs in Colorado left the door open for change. This change has come in the form of Carbine. Carbine was official announced as the new manager of the Colorado Raptors just before the draft and he has come in set to win. Change can always be hard yet Carbine has been able to create excitement for a team that is ready to win. Carbine brings leadership strength from his time as a GM in GOMHL and his positions that he has held in the SHL thus far. The Raptors also have a slew of veteran defensemen set to lead this team into another successful season. The Raptors' defense is probably the best in the league and is definitely their biggest strength. The Raptors final strength is their young group of forwards that took the league by storm last season; one of whom is nominated for ROTY even. The team is poised to make a run this year and the rest of the SMJHL should be on notice.
