Registered S45 Challenge Cup Champion 1 - RW - S31 Joe Kurczewski - 1961 TPE
- Calgary Dragons --> Calgary Dragons, 1 year, $5,000,000 per year One of the best free agents in league history finds himself again given the option to test the waters with other teams. Joe Kurczewski find himself in search of another minimum contract from the Calgary Dragons after they find out how many can be spent on other free agents. If you expected this to be the season Joe Kurczewski left, you would be wrong again. 2 - C - S31 Jason Visser - 1956 TPE - Winnipeg Jets --> Winnipeg Jets 1 year, $5,000,000 per year Jason Visser finds himself re-signing with the current Western Conference Champion Winnipeg Jets on a one year five million dollar contract after he claimed the second MVP award of his still young career. Expect Jason Visser to again put up ungodly numbers with the Winnipeg Jets as he continues to search for a second Challenge Cup trophy to add to his resume. 3 - RW - S32 Terrance Nova - 1928 TPE - Minnesota Chiefs --> Terrance Nova is the true top free in the class is due for a big money signing, while many players are loyal, none much more than Terrance himself who has found himself in a coaching role with the Minnesota Chiefs. Can another team and a better shot at a Challenge Cup entice him into tasting a different brand of hockey this offseason? Only time will tell if the Veteran decides another brand of coffee suites his taste buds. 4 - D - S32 Max Weber - 1773 TPE - Winnipeg Jets --> Winnipeg Jets, 1 year, $3,000,000 per year Max “Fully Charged” Weber has been one of the most consistent defensemen of the past five seasons in the simulation hockey league and took home this seasons Scott Stevens award which is presented the leagues best defensemen each season. Winnipeg was able the re-sign the award winner to a stellar three million dollar deal this offseason as we continue to see a trend of elite players signing minimum deals. Is this a problematic trend or not? 5 - RW - S31 Zach Evans - 1745 TPE - Winnipeg Jets --> Winnipeg Jets, 1 year, $3,000,000 per year Following the trend of Winnipeg Jets players, Zach Evans also signed a one year three million dollar deal to keep the Winnipeg Jets season 31 draft trio in check yet another season, could this be the season that we see Zach Evans return to the dominance that brought him his first and only Ron Mexico award? I guess we will have to wait and see. 5 - LW - S36 Oisen Fletcher - 1704 TPE - New England Wolfpack --> Edmonton Blizzard, 2 year, $5,000,000 per year We saw a move this offseason for Oisin Fletcher that not many expected. As Erik Chisling took head office in New England that spelled the end for Oisin’s New England career as he saw his free agent rights traded alongside Piotr Czerkawski and the 9th overall pick which turned into Willy Mack for Tigole Bitties and Brock Becker in what was a whirlwind of a deal. Oisin reward his club with a team friendly two year, ten million dollar deal, and I am sure management hopes he continues his stay in the teal and gold past just season 45. 6 - LW - S31 Pietra Volkova - 1656 TPE - Winnipeg Jets --> Winnipeg Jets, 1 year, $5,000,000 per year Pietra Volkova has seen her training regime come to a complete halt, but her skills still remain some of the best in the entirety of the simulated hockey league. When Pietra mysteriously disappeared almost one full season ago many thought we would never see her again but suddenly she was back on the ice, but almost as an emotionless version of herself. Many were shocked especially when Gary Grease announced that Volkova would be receiving a one year extension worth approximately five million before taxes. Is Volkova back or is this a conspiracy theory for another day. 7 - C - S31 Geronimo Otto - 1580 TPE - Edmonton Blizzard --> Retired The recently retired Geronimo Otto unlaced his skates for the last time just moments after the Edmonton Blizzard were officially eliminated from the season forty-three simulation hockey league playoffs, and while his loss is felt, it isn’t nearly as dramatic as it could have been had the Blizzard not had an incredible draft to fill in the spot left by the aging forward. I would expect to see Xavier Paquette on the big league club in the near future. 8 - D - S31 Toivo Kosonen - 1576 TPE - New England Wolfpack --> Los Angeles Panthers, 1 year, $5,000,000 per year Toivo Kosonen saw his rights traded from the team his agent was general manager of in just moments. Toivo spent the entirety of his career as a member of the New England Wolfpack before being so rudely uprooted by new general manager much like Oisin Fletcher was. Toivo again like Fletcher rewarded the team who traded for his rights by signing a one year, five million dollar contract. 9 - LW - S36 Roman Augustus - 1569 TPE - Calgary Dragons --> Calgary Dragons, 3 years, $5,000,000 per year The defensemen turned forward Roman Augustus saw his team reward his loyalty with a well deserved three year, fifteen million dollar contract that will keep him with the team through season forty-six. A noticeable uptick in production after moving to be part of the forward core has Roman Augustus why he did not try playing on the wing earlier in his young career. Best of luck going forward with the Calgary Dragons Roman! Not that you will need it. 10 - D - S33 Charles Walker - 1546 TPE - Buffalo Stampede --> Buffalo Stampede 3 years, $5,000,000 per year Charles Walker the main proponent of the tampering scandal out of Texas hit the free agent market again but not for long as Buffalo realized they had a good one in Walker and decided to lock him up on a long term, three year, fifteen million dollar contract that will also keep him with the club through season forty-six. Walker is one of the best defensemen to hit the market but did not last very long. A growing talent pool in Buffalo will have the rest of the East shaking in their boots. 11 - RW - S33 Halfdan Thorstein - 1530 TPE - Minnesota Chiefs --> Minnesota Chiefs 1 year, $6,000,000 per year One of many free agents to not even truly hit the free agent market Halfdan Thorstein was almost immediately signed to a one year, six million dollar contract. Having played with Minnesota his entire career the loyalty shown by this young man is admirable yet expected in today’s simulation hockey league. Movement is scare but so beautiful, and hopefully some of the remaining free agents will move teams to promote extra parity within the league. 12 - RW - S33 Crossfit Jesus - 1475 TPE - Winnipeg Jets --> Winnipeg Jets, 2 years, $5,000,000 per year Crossfit Jesus was the central focus of majority controversy following his departure from the Manhattan Rage organization to join the Winnipeg Jets after their surge of dominance took the league by storm back during season thirty-seven season. While Crossfit will never be the true star of the show, he is certainly more than just a supporting role. Crossfit saw himself sign a two year, ten million dollar contract which guarantees him one of the highest paying contracts in the Jets organization. Crossfit will need to step up his game in order for this contract to pay dividends. 13 - LW - S34 Noro Wozy - 1471 TPE - Minnesota Chiefs --> Minnesota Chiefs Noro Wozy saw himself have his breakout season after being traded to the Minnesota Chiefs by the Hamilton Steelhawks putting up 56 points (29 Goals, 27 assists) in only 50 games. Career highs on all fronts Wozy is not actually a free agent though, having signed an eight season contract in recent years while back with the Hamilton Steelhawks. We will see how management handles this one. 14 - LW - S32 Kyle Kylrad - 1471 TPE - Winnipeg Jets --> Winnipeg Jets 1 year, $5,000,000 per year 15 - LW - S27 Maximilian Wachter - 1461 TPE - Los Angeles Panthers --> Los Angeles Panthers, 3 years, $5,000,000 per year 16 - D - S36 Isak Odegard - 1388 TPE - Minnesota Chiefs --> Minnesota Chiefs 1 year, $5,000,000 per year 17 - C - S25 Jonathan Lundberg - 1382 TPE - Minnesota Chiefs --> Minnesota Chiefs , 1 year, $8,000,000 per year 18 - LW - S30 Conklin Owen - 1368 TPE - Texas Renegades --> 19 - C - S33 Viktor Vorkämpfer - 1355 TPE - Buffalo Stampede --> Buffalo Stampede, 1 year, $5,000,000 per year 20 - D - S35 Spitfire - 1221 TPE - New England Wolfpack --> Winnipeg Jets, 1 year, $8,000,000 per year 21 - LW - S25 Lord Pretty Flacko - 1211 TPE - Minnesota Chiefs --> Retired 22 - D - S30 Jon Ross - 1181 TPE - West Kendall Platoon --> 23 - LW - S34 Elias Lingdtrom - 1172 TPE - Seattle Riot --> Retired 24 - D - S30 Viatcheslav Orlov - 1151 TPE - Winnipeg Jets --> Winnipeg Jets, 1 year, $5,000,000 per year 25 - D - S36 Casey Creller - 1129 TPE - Calgary Dragons --> Calgary Dragons, 3 years, $4,000,000 per year 26 - LW - S31 Eduard Selich - 1105 TPE - Seattle Riot --> Retired 27 - LW - S36 Alexander Zajac - 1057 TPE - Seattle Riot --> Seattle Riot, 1 year, $4,000,000 per year 28 - D - S31 Brynjar Tusk - 1028 TPE - Texas Renegades --> Retired 29 - D - S32 Noctis Caelum - 1026 TPE - West Kendall Platoon --> Retired 30 - D - S30 Danny "Bananas" Foster - 1019 TPE - Los Angeles Panthers --> Retired 31 - D - S39 Gary Grease - 1007 TPE - Winnipeg Jets --> Winnipeg Jets, 1 year, $4,000,000 per year Code: 1100 Words to Keygan |
