S44 PT #3 - Where are they now?

I had an old friend from juniors named Sinn Nolan. He was a good kid, played the game the right way. Nolan never really excelled in the offensive side of the game. He was a strong, heady two way player who was more likely to strip the opposing team on the rush with a strong backcheck than to score a goal. The only real excellence he had offensively was his puck distribution. Bitties growing up always was a shooter. He would often coast and set out to pick the cherries at the opposing blue lines. Seeing the hard work and effort that Nolan put in day after day actually helped Bitties improve his work ethic. Nolan never made a career out of his hockey. Eventually his lack of talent caught up to him to where the level of effort couldn’t make up the difference, even as a 4th liner. Today Nolan has hung them up and is coaching youth and works in sales for an enterprise software company. Funny how life works.
RIP Dangel. See you on the other side, brother |
