that is the problem that we have 3 teams very near together!
CGY, EDM & WPG
TOR, HAM & BUF
then you has also New England and Manhattan together
and also Los Angeles, Seattle and San Francisco
I did not found this team with that cities! you must blame someone else.
oh and the NHL isnt just the USA you has also Canada, Alaska (SMJHL one Team) & Hawaii.
I would like to see a map from you, please do one for me with your idea with the existing teams and understandable divisions. We think about all ideas and this make it understandable in moment what I tried to do with this very near teams what we have already!

As small note Hamilton isnt in the East Division because Toronto, New England, Manhattan and Buffalo are more in the east!
West Kendall looks very nice together with the South Central Division because TEX, WKP are the most south located teams, MIN is the most central located team like Chicago or Kansas City.
San Francisco, Seattle, Los Angeles are the most west located teams.
oh and EDM, CGY and WPG are the most north located teams. the east is full with TOR, BUF, MAN and NEW ... so HAM must go to this division because this is from this 5 teams the most west located team ... we could also talk about TOR because this team would be the most north located team. this was just my decision in this idea and nothing is decided yet.

so this are my reasons for this idea-divisions/conferences. I like to discuss but senseless shots against any idea what was be made is not the good way here.
