The Winnipeg Jets haven’t had to structure their team too much recently. Their team absolutely hit the jackpot in S31 with the draft of Pietra Volkova, Jason Visser, Corey Bearrs, and Zach Evans, superstars on any team in the SHL but have the luxury of playing together on one team. That is a team core that you do not need to meddle with because of the talent present. The secret to Winnipeg’s success is two fold. One is in their incredible core that they have structured their team around, but the second is their consistent and positive locker room environment. Unfortunately some members have gone inactive as of recent, but their players have stayed on and found success this season as the hard work has already been attributed to their players. It’s likely that the Winnipeg window will close in the next few years, but with Jason Visser showing no signs of slowing down, we may expect them back on the top next season as well.
