Task 1: It feels like only a short while ago that Winnipeg was always a top favourite to be in the mix for the Challenge Cup but the past few seasons have been tougher for them. Frustrated with being a bridesmaid and never the bride; the Jets made a management change to rebuild the winning culture they had grown accustomed to. It would appear that the new GM has gotten the hang of his new job; the GMs new coach has the team performing at a great level and they are poised to take home a Championship ring. The Jets former manager built a great roster but it grew stagnant and I believe that the new blood that flows through the team's higher-ups is the reason for their surge. West Kendall is no slouch either, the Platoon has been a top team for a long time. Beating the Platoon would be a true testament to the team's new directors. Task 3: Liam O'Callagahn left the Seattle Riot for the Texas Renegades this offseason and it is hard to pinpoint one specific moment as the highlight. O'Callaghan was very pleased with his individual season; he set career highs across the board and finished top 3 in many of the major statistics for defenders. O'Callaghan is also hopeful that he did enough to get nominated for the Stevens trophy, even if he doesn't win. What might be Liam's favourite memory of the season is the overall camaraderie that he felt all season with the Texas boys. Liam always felt like family from the minute he walked in and battling with these players for a playoff berth really forged that strong connection. The family feel is definitely what drew Liam here in free agency and the fact that that feeling only got stronger as the season progressed has the young Irish rear guard excited for the future.
