TASK 1: (Written, 3 TPE)

Choose one team in the series and talk about the steps they took to make the finals. Was it a free agent signing, or an MVP player, or trades, etc. Must be 150 words.

The defending champs West Kendall Platoon have one of the premier players on their team in forward Dani Forsberg. In the regular season ended he was 2nd in goals on his team with 22 goals and lead the team in points with 53. He produced over a point per game. He is well liked and respected by not only his team but the rest of the league as well. Year in and year out he produces offensively, while helping out in the defensive zone as well when needed. Every championship team needs elite two-way forwards that can help in the scoring column. In 12 games leading up to the final championship round, Forsberg scored 9 goals, and helping in another 5 with assists for a total of 14 points. While putting up that respectable point total he also had a +3 rating on the ice so he showed he helped keep the opposition from scoring. Clearly the Platoons knew what they were doing back in season 43 when they traded for Forsberg. (172 words)

TASK 3: (Written, 3 TPE)
In 150 words or more write about the top highlight of your season. whether it be your first goal, your first hat trick, first shutout, clinching playoffs, getting a career high in something, etc. Must be hockey related.

Going into this most recent year playing for the Halifax Raiders of the SMJHL, I knew my time was coming to an end, I did not know how soon I would get the call up, whether it be at the end of the year or at next years end. I was tied for 4th in goals on my team with 11, tied for 7th on my team in assists with 15, and tied for 6th in total points with 26. I was just over a PPG player as a defenseman which I think is a success. But even with putting up goals and consistently seeing my name on the scoring sheet the biggest thing i'm proud of this past year is being called the Captain of the Halifax Raiders. I was honored to be named the captain and it was a big confidence booster knowing that the rest of the team had my back and they all knew I had theirs. Unfortunately I failed to lead the team to the playoffs and in the offseason I talked to both GM's who had my rights and we've come to the agreement that it would be best for me and my development to enter the SHL as a member of the Manhattan Rage. 2. Which GM in the finals do you believe has the tactical/Managerial advantage and why?

I like to think that when looking at stats you look at the last two years to figure out who has advantages and if i'm being honest based on the last two years, I would have to give the advantage To JR95, the GM of the West Kendall Platoon. He has set this team up to challenge for and win the Challenge cup for the second time in a row and three in the last four years. (77 words)

Choose 1 young player from each team (either on their roster or a prospect of theirs) who you believe will be there teams next great player and why?

With the 10th overall pick in the season 43 draft the West Kendall Platoon selected defenseman Rex Kirkby out of Anchorage. He was not well known when he was drafted 42nd overall in the 6th round of the season 42 SMJHL early entry draft, yet he shot up the draft rankings with his exceptional defensive play. He is not known as a goal scorer but has excelled as a true defensive defenseman. Every team need to have a guy who can shut down the opposing top line and I belive Kirkby will be that very soon.(96 words)

You want to buy tickets, hotel stay and airfair for one of the games in this series and you have to decide between a trip to West Kendall or Winnipeg.. what city did you choose and why?

I was given an early Christmas present to go on a vacation anywhere of my choosing to get away from the offseason grind to clear my mind and without hesitation I choose Winnipeg. Iv always wanted to go watch a playoff game in canada. Even tho im not a fan of either team, the atmosphere of a Canadian home playoff game, let alone a finals game, would be electric and I would love to be involved in the festivities and just being apart of the crowd would be unreal. Question: Before the start of the game little tammy threw 4 reese's peanut butter cups on the ice. 2 of them were skated over and crushed! (Ohhh No!!!)... how many peanut butter cups were NOT skated over?
