Comment #1:
Anaheim's box play team was on fire today. They allowed only one goal in 7 power play attempts they allowed the Armada. Derek Bohne and Hiro Fujikawa were the two forwards who both had over 6 minutes penalty kill time on ice. That might explain their lack of offensive power today. On the defenses side, the Outlaws most prominent penalty killers, Aaron Freakin Rome and Mathias Seger, have both gotten them 2 minor penalties each, so Milo Momoka and Mister McCarthy had to pick up for them and also both spent over 6 minutes on the ice while being short handed. Anaheim certainly didn't miss a will to fight, sadly they often took illegal measures doing so.

Comment #2:
Another positive sign on the Outlaws side today was Tibuk Soonika. Anaheim's goalie 1B stopped 28 out of 31 shots, which is good for a 90.3 save percentage. Considering a lot of these shots came out of good positions during the 14 minutes of power play, the Anchorage had today, this is a very impressive number. Soonika is putting a lot of pressure on Mike Hunt. It will be interesting which goalie the Outlaws are going to start once the play offs come around. On the other side, Peter Larson's numbers don't look all that impressive. He stopped 83.3% of the 12 shots he was tasked with tonight. This game would have been winnable by Anaheim, had they not taken so many penalties.

Comment #3:
The toll of the penalties also showed itself in the number of shots taken. The third period was the best for the Outlaws with a whole 5 shots towards Larson. In comparison, both Bust and Dean Colt III from Anchorage each managed to get off 5 shots during this game. In the end we have a shot total of 12 to 31 in favor of the Armada. The first period was especially poor for Anaheim. Even though they could play their only powerplay in the game in this period, they only managed to test Larson three times. Only Collin Gibbles and Mister McCarthy shot more than once and half the team had no attempt at all.
