At InGEN Arena in Denver Colorado, a sell-out crowd of 17,420 were present to see the Colorado Raptors face off against the Kelowna Knights. The two teams are only a few points apart, so this promises to be an exciting game.

First period
From the first puck drop the Kelowna Knights were the more aggressive team. The Knights were really crashing the net, but Yuri Ushakov was able to fend everything off. At 12:39 Dick Clapper of the Knights dangled himself past Eric Vanderberg with a nice toe-drag move, only to see his shot saved by Ushakov. This move deserved better. Later in the period at 16:30 Justin Siddals finds the net with a wrist shot going five hole on Yuri Ushakov. He was assisted by Sanyi Kocsis and Nickolaus Klaus. It was Klaus’ 28th league leading assist of the season.

Second period
The second period saw a much better Colorado Raptors team coming out of the locker room. Though the Knights were the first to get on the board yet again. Zach Laliberte assisted by Big Fudge and Justin Siddals scored at 3:54. Straight from a face off win from Siddals the puck found its way to Big Fudge who passed it towards Laliberte who slapped it behind Ushakov. The Raptors were getting better and better and really started to push the net of Vivian Leblanc. At 6:46 Parker Smeb scored on a two on one to put the Raptors on the board. A minute 51 past the halfway mark in the second period Konstantin Voloshin deflected a shot from Lillie Jacobs to tie the game. Vivian Leblanc had no chance seeing that coming, her vision was being blocked by multiple people.

Third period
The Colorado Raptors came out steaming from the locker room. Scoring two goals only 20 seconds apart. Konstantin Voloshin scored at 2:06 and Lillie Jacobs at 2:26 to give the Raptors a two goal lead at the start of the third period. The energy the Kelowna Knights brought to the game in the first period was completely gone and the Raptors were all over the ice. At this moment Vivian Leblanc was pulled and replaced by Low Temp. At 5:42 the game was pretty much over when Parker Smeb also scored his second of the game to bring the score to 2-5 in favor of the Raptors. In the final minutes of the game the Knights tried to play all or nothing, but it resulted in nothing. A devastating loss for the Knights and two valuable points won by the Raptors to fight for a top six seed spot.
