Colorado really needed this win sorely, and their offense came to life finally. Parker Smeb has really come into his own this season, tallying 2 goals this game to bring his total up to an impressive 10 on the season. The rest of the Smeb brothers haven't really made their mark on the Raptors roster so far this season. Parker Smeb has been different, though, bringing really impressive energy on the 3rd line for the Raptors. Smeb's goal with the Raptors down 2-0 early in the 2nd period was really crucial. It was a huge momentum swing for the Raptors and a clutch goal straight away after conceding.

The Kelowna Knights removed starting goalie Vivian LeBlanc in the middle of the game. The change happened after the Colorado Raptors had scored 4 consecutive, unanswered goals. The Knights had taken a 2-0 lead early on in the game in the 2nd period, but clearly LeBlanc had lost his focus at some point and the Knights felt comfortable making a change in net to ignite a potential comeback. Low Temp entered the game early in the 3rd period after LeBlanc gave up 2 goals in less than 30 seconds in the early 3rd period. Low Temp would concede a goal just a few minutes later, but otherwise made several key saves in the rest of the game to at least keep the scoreline respectable for the Knights.

Michael Scarn's minutes continue to dwindle for the Colorado Raptors. Removed out of the center position and shunted out to the wing, the rookie has struggled to acclimate to the professional pace of play and physicality. Moreover, his shots just aren't landing on net, as he fired another 4 shots at net with none finding the target past the goalie's equipment. Scarn still does get time on the Power Play, but you wonder if Colorado management might switch him out soon enough with the secret agent struggling to find his accuracy on his shot. Scarn's minutes on ice in total continue to decrease and it is safe to say that his Rookie of the Year chances are all but dashed.
