Ice Tilted
The ice appeared to be quite tilted in this game towards the Raptors. The Raptors completely dominated Montreal in shots 33-18. Vrana played pretty well only allowing 3 goals on 33 shots, good for a .909 save percentage. He gave his team a chance to win, and that's all you can really ask from your goaltender on a nightly basis. It's just unfortunate for Montreal that the goalie on the other end was on fire. Montreal needs to be more disciplined, giving Colorado 6 power plays, compared to only the 1 Montreal had, was a big reason for the shot differential.

Colorado's Defence
Colorado had an amazing performance from their D tonight. 2 of their 3 goals were scored on the power play by defenders Vanderberg, and JP. It's certainly a major weapon for Colorado, most of their defenders have a big shot from the point, I really don't know how it's possible for their PP to be so bad overall this year, sitting last in the entire league. Not only did the defenders carry offensively, but they also completely shut down Montreal's offence, only allowing 18 shots against. Quite an easy night for Colorado's goalie when the defence plays like that in front of you.

Montreal's Offense Shut Down or No-show?
Montreal is way too good of a team to only be getting 18 shots with this potent offence. Kvalheim had a good game with 5 shots, but he took 3 different penalties, his discipline has to be better. Like I said in my previous comment, we have to give some credit to the COlorado defenders, they played well, but Montreal has to get more pucks to the net. Colorado only 3 blocked shots this entire game, that's crazy low compared to the 8 Montreal had. I'm sure Montreal will look to just get more pucks to the net in the next game rather than being too fancy, I look forward to see how they bounce back.
