It has become the facts for the early games that dominating the game is not enough to win games in this league. The other version of this take is that Goalies are showing their worth early on by holding it down when their defense lets up on the gas at anypoint in the game. Anchorage out shot the Knights 28 to 18, and yet Kelowna ended up with the win. Penalties were relatively low for both teams, but as the game went on, it slowed down, with no goals being scored with great performances from Leblanc and Scorpio. Leblanc really stood out as his defense was the one that was slower to start and yet he held on to the lead with a fiery passion.
