The Falcons stuttered out of the gate, and then proceeded to shoot themselves in the foot. Both the goaltending and the defense for Detroit just seemed like it was in a state of flux. Not knowing what the plan was or being able to communicate correctly with each other. And since the Falcons were so busy digging the puck out of the back of their net, they did not have time to get any form of offense on the ice. Overall not the most impressive performance from anyone involved on Detroit. Marshall did not have too many tests in the form of facing 18 shots compared to his teams total 21.
