3 Stars of the Game

1 - Patrice Nadeau (LBL) - 40 saves from 41 shots - (0.976) - Nadeau had another amazing game where he stood on his head for his team. The Scarecrows doubled the Lions in shots, but Patrice was not having any of it as he turned away all but one in his effort to get the W.

2 - Joln DuBolk (LBL) - 1G, 1A, 2P, +1, 0PIM - Join played almost a 3rd of the game and was relied on to kill some penalties by his coach in which he succeded quite a bit. 1 shot was all he needed in order to find the back of the net, but where he really stood out was his shot blocking abilities as he got in front of 4 shots.

3 - Rahotep Tutankhamun (LBL) - 1G, 0A, 1P, +1 0PIM - King Tut rose from the dead with a vengenace this game. He ripped shots from anywhere with 8 shots on net and threw his body around with reckless abandon as he managed to la out 5 hits.

TSN Turning Point

It took until almost the end of the 1st period for the first goal to be scored, but the Lions capitalized on their chance and scored on the penalty kill. that 1 goal was the turning point in this game as the Lions came out in the scored and blasted 2 more shots into the back of the net within the first 5 minutes on the 2nd period as they carried on from their momentum that they had picked up in the first. There wasn't many high moments for the Lions in their first season, but this game was by far one of their highest moments of the season.

Worst Player of the Game

Samuel Jalopski from the St. Louis Scarecrows is the honouary worst player of the game on this night. He was near the bottom of his team in TOI and really didn't help his team out by picking up 2 penalties especially since he's a member of the penalty kill. A 2nd pairing defenseman such as himself really needs to be more of an impact player against a team of Lethbridges caliber as well as learn to keep himself disciplined if he wants to be the type of D that is looked at as a top pairing guy in the big leagues.
