S45 Championship Week

![]() Registered S39 Challenge Cup Champion Code: TASK 1: (Written, 3 TPE) We did fairly well this season, making the Eastern Conference Championship for the second season in a row but also falling to the Platoon for the second season in a row. I think it is safe to say that the biggest thing we need is more experience on defense. I mean, our first pairing is a second year player in George Moore and a rookie in Poopity Scoop. While George and Poopity certainly held it down well beyond anyone's expectations this season, it's still quite obvious that we need more strength back on the blueline. We need an all-around defenseman, someone who can shut down opponents and just as easily make plays offensively and use top level passing to feed our elite forwards. While it may be tempting to just go out and buy such a player, we need to be careful. We have some great prospects and that type of player we are looking for... Moore and Scoop can easily become that in a couple seasons and can form the SHL's best pairing. But we unquestionably could have benefited from an true number one defenseman this season and, if we had one, who knows... Perhaps we would be up against Edmonton right now. Code: Task 3: (Written, up to 5 TPE) 2. Joe Kurczewski - Roman Augustus - Teddy Cuddles - Tor Tuck - Ludqig Koch-Schroder - Tommy Tuck This is a lineup that could easily be the All-SHL First Team roster and nobody would bat an eye. All six players are elite talents and not only are elite talents but have performed extremely well these playoffs and are huge reasons their respective squads are facing off in the finals. Of course, we have each team's leader scorer in Kurczewski and Augustus. Then we have Cuddles, who is putting together a great offensive performance. LKS brings great offense from the blueline while Tor Tuck can do it all as a defenseman - even adding tremendous physical play. And at goaltender, we need to have Tommy Tuck here. He's following up an amazing regular season with an outstanding playoffs. 3. While he has been fairly quiet in these playoffs thus far, Piotr Czerkawski has the best chance of the young guns in this series to be a true difference maker. The third overall pick in the Season 41 SHL Entry Draft, Czerkawski is a highly talented playmaker who I think we will see do more than he has thus far. I mean, being on a line with Teddy Cuddles and Oisin Fletcher, he will be relied on as a distributor and should be able to utilize his slick passing to be a bigger part of his team's offensive attack. 4. I have to give it to JR95 and Wongy here. While Edmonton has had the more impressive Season 45, they've consistently failed at the biggest stage under the leadership of karlssens. On the other hand, West Kendall, as of late, has enjoyed more post season success and based on this track record, I have to put the advantage in the hands of West Kendall. However, this should not be a slight to Edmonton - I think they will pull this off. I just think they have yet to prove they have the tactical edge... but they definitely have the edge in terms of talent on their roster. 5. I will take the more challenging option here and give a report on the Blizzard, who lost just 9 games all regular season. This is a team that has a strong roster, top to bottom and will be a challenge for the Platoon. However, I think the Platoon really need to utilize their depth to attack and exploit Edmonton's stacked lines. They need to run three forward lines - perhaps a 1, 2a, and 2b or even a 1a, 1b, 1c. And on defense, they need to be smart but make sure LKS is out on the ice as often as possible. If they do this, they may be able to tire the Blizzard out and use their depth to attack and outlast a fatigued Bizzard team late in games. Code: TASK 4: (*CASUAL MEMBER SPECIAL* Send answer in PM, up to 3 TPE) SENT but "recess cup" lol? Code: TASK 6: (Written, 3 TPE) So my career has only just started as my rookie year just finished. So I have a lot planned. I've had a strong career so far. From setting the Falcons franchise plus/minus record, winning the Onoprienko Trophy, to pacing my draft class in TPE. I also think my rookie year in the SHL was definitely successful. 28 points, +11, 108 hits, 60 blocked shots... it was an all around performance that I think will really put myself on the map and should earn me, at the very least, a spot on the All-Rookie Team. If not, I'll come and bop the fuck out of the All-Star Committee. In the future, I have some goals: -3 Championships - no legacy is complete without being a winner -2 Stevens Trophies - I'm gonna be the best so I need the hardware to prove it -2 Turd Ferguson Trophies - I'm no dinky defenseman like most scrubs in this league -All-Time Hits Leader - I'm a fucking menace so I'll prove it with this -First Ballot Hall of Famer - See above -Trophy named after me - Poopity Scoop is gonna be an SHL legend Code: Task 10 (Written, 3 TPE) Unfortunately, we lost in the Eastern Conference Finals but now that means the off-season is set in motion. So, for the off-season, I am planning to go to North Korea with George Moore and Derek Bohne where we will work to help promote the Chiefs and the SHL and hopefully organize an exhibition match there in Pyongyang. This may seem like a far fetched idea but it is something I am very passionate about - promoting the sport of ice hockey near and far. I will hopefully meet with Kim Jong-un and the North Korean National Ice Hockey Team to pitch my ideas and to become a true ambassador of the sport. Some may say I'm crazy but I say I'm just the Dennis Rodman of ice hockey. Which probably does nothing to counter calling me crazy but see if I care. I am born of Kanye's heart and I draw inspiration from Yeezus and he will surely guide my to success and prosperity for many years to come. |
