I can see other commentators takes on the relative strength of the two goalies. And to be honest you can only look at the first half and wonder if Hank was the difference between the two team, Anchorage dominate possession, territory, and shots on goal yet ended the half drawn with knights 2-2. How if you are looking for the moment that the game turned on Anchorage, look no further than the 6th, game tying goal that happened on a power play as Johnny sins lost his head. During that period knights won crucial face-offs and put pressure on Hank that he couldn't withstand with a shorthanded team. Once that goal was scored the 7th and desicive goal felt enevidble. Although the Knights team should also be congratulated on successfully shutting down the Armada offense in the 3rd, and they never looked like coming back after losing the lead. |
