The Stingrays have been swept in the playoffs by the Vipers. It was predicted to be an even match up, with the Stingray's home ice advantage making them slight favourites, but in game 1, 4 points from Spencer MacLean lead to a 5-1 victory in a game that saw 5 power plays with not a single power play goal. The game's true hero, however, was Harry Carpet, the goaltender. He posted .969, translating a close game on shots into a win for the Vipers. Disappointing for the Stingrays, but there was hope for them yet.

Game two came along, however, and destroyed that hope. This one was a 6-5 loss in overtime, where, in a thrilling finish Espen Knutsen Jr. posted a 2nd game winning goal in the playoffs, after 1:14 of overtime. Corey Kennedy was the second star, with 4 points in the game. But in some ways this game was more one-sided. The Vipers posted 51 shots to 35, so only a poorer performance from Carpet allowed the game to reach overtime. Carpet wasn't tested in overtime though, so ultimately it didn't matter.

Meanwhile, we keenly await the result of the final game in the Blazers vs Wranglers matchup. The Blazers were touted as favourites, after a poor showing in the regular season from the Wranglers, but lost the first game convincingly. They won the repeat fixture, but have to beat the Wranglers at home to remain in the tournament.
