I don't know. I just remember when we were asked what constituted a rookie season for a goalie being burned, and Tez being adamant it be less than 3 full back up seasons and others agreeing at that point. It's a bit odd, but I think it's partially to match the skaters who also have 15 games played and partially to make it less of a gimme.
