Worst player ever?

When Dylon McIntyre went to the rink tonight, he was thrilled and absolutely motivated. But he didn't expect to be treated the way he did. It is absolutey normal that guys get scratched during the course of a season, but Dylon McIntyre played are ridiculously low 0:43 the entire game. He didn't even manage to play one minute the entire game. That is one, maybe two shifts. There is no trust in him anymore by his coach and you can see it when you take a look at his icetime. It is no surprise Dylon McIntyre contributed nothing to his team's success.

Goalie Problem?

If you take a look at the shots, the game itself was pretty even. The Montreal Militia trailed the Anaheim Outlaws by onle one shot. So you have to ask: What was the difference between the two teams that evening. And if you look at the goalies, you could find the answer - the Montreal goalie was just a little bit worse than the Anaheim goalie. Soonika of Anaheim saved 16 of 19 shots for a 84.2 Save %. Not very good. But then you look at Low Temp from the Militia and you think of Soonika as a world beater. Low Temp saved only 8 shots from 12 and was quickly replaced by Aleksi O'Koivu-Volkova in the 2nd period.

Very balanced

The game itself probably was one of the most balanced games of the season. Just take a look at the stats. Anaheim had 20 shots while Montreal had 19. Anaheim had 16 hits while Montreal had 15. Anaheim won 32 faceoffs, Montreal won 31. Montreal scored once on the Powerplay, Anaheim didn't score at all. But in the end, there is only one stat that counts and that is goals scored. And despite a game of two very equal teams who fought a hard fight for 60 minutes, it was the Outlaws who had the edge here, scoring 5 goals while Montreal only scored 3. And in the end, this is all that counts.
