Aleksi O'Koivu-Volkova continues his impressive season with adding a shootout win on top of his 7-1 record. AOKV looked impeccable between the pipes in the first two periods. Wasn't until the 3rd where a powerplay goal snuck past him early and then subsequently a late tying goal sent it into OT. AOKV went to the bench before OT, muttered some foreign words towards his trainer and they ran into the locker room to bring back a weird glass bottle with tape on top saying "geiturade". Rumor is it was a heavy cocktail of vodka mixed with gin and a splash of rum but we will never know. Nonetheless, AOKV shot back into his crease and was an absolute brick wall for the remainder of overtime. Only Nathan Explosion was able to beat him in shootouts but that meant nothing since Hans Zucker converted for MTL while Bobby Sharp was dull in his attempt and was stoned by AOKV to close out the game.

Comment 2:
Vivian Leblanc on the other hand continues his mediocre season by tacking on a shootout loss to his 2-3-3 season. Leblanc was far from blanking his opponents in this match up but he did look up to par in the second period stopping all 3 shots that went his way. To be honest, I think we need to give the man some credit for staying awake through that. Nonetheless, MTL came back in the 3rd and upped their shooting 300% with 9 SOG, one which Leblanc let through. They went into OT then shootout, but Leblanc fell short with Hans Zucker beating him in the 4th round of SO.

Montreal Militia, Andreas Kvalheim - Stopped by Vivian Leblanc -- Leblanc stops the first attempt against him by Andreas Kvalheim by the skin of his teeth. The crowd thought he was beat for sure when the puck slipped between his wickets but he managed to clip it with the back of his foot and send the puck wide.


Kelowna Knights, Nathan Explosion - Goal! Nathan Explosion sneaks goal past AOKV with an explosive snap shot down the middle of the ice, sending the puck between the wickets right into the net. AOKV was stunned by his quick release and looked back in disbelief to see the puck in the back of the net.


Kelowna Knights, Bobby Sharp - Stopped by Aleksi O'Koivu-Volkova -- AOKV comes up with a gnarly last second save to stone Bobby Sharp. The Kelowna fans stood up with their mouths wide open ready to celebrate the tying goal to push the shooutout to the 5th round until AOKV's geiturade came into full effect and stoned Bobby Sharp with that last second kick.
