PGS S46 Game 62: Anaheim vs. Montreal
#6

Audi Star of the Game: Colton Gibbles Outlaws
With 2 goals including the game winner, tonight's Audi Star of the Game is Anaheim's Colton Gibbles. The second year forward has been one of Anaheim's best producer's all season and tonight was no different as the star forward scored twice on three shots to lead his team to victory. Gibbles was a key player for the Outlaws on both ends of the ice having played on the power play and having helped kill off the Outlaws' penalties as well. Gibbles was second in ice time amongst Outlaws forwards and the coach's faith in him paid off as he led a very strong forward group to victory against Montreal.

Tide Flop of the Game: Chuck Crutchfield Militia
Tonight's Tide Flop of the Game is Montreal's Chuck Crutchfield. 2nd on the team in ice time, Crutchfield was incredibly poor and a huge part of Montreal's loss. Chucky finished the game at -3 with 1 shot, no hits and no blocked shots. On top of that, he spent almost 6 minutes on a power play that went 1 for 6 and was practically useless. Crutchfield's 4 penalty minutes didn't help his case tonight as even though Anaheim didn't score on any of their power plays, Crutchfield still had more penalty minutes than the rest of his team combined and gave Anaheim 4 extra minutes to control the play and the puck and hold on to their lead.

Tesla Key to the Game: Goaltending
Tonight's Tesla Key to the Game is goaltending, it is often something that can make or break a team's game and tonight proved to be one of those nights. The shots tonight ended 20-19 in favour of the Outlaws, in a low shooting game like that you want your goaltending to be sharp as opportunities to answer your opponent's goals will be hard to come from. Goaltending just didn't favour the Militia tonight as their starting goalie Low Temp was pulled towards the end of the 2nd period after allowing his 4th goal on less than 12 shots. Volkova came in and was decent in relief but still allowed a goal on the 8 shots he faced allowing Anaheim to grab the insurance goal they needed. On the other end, Tibuk Soonika stopped 16 of 19 shots getting the job done for the Outlaws in their win tonight.
