Power-less Play: The major story from tonight was the teams' power play, or lack thereof. Halifax was gifted a total of 6 powerplay opportunities and came up empty with a big old zero on the board. Vancouver wasn't much better, also putting up a big old zero on a total of 3 opportunities. Vancouver luckily came out on top, driving play at 5 on 5 to take the 4-2 win but you'd have to think Halifax is kicking itself right now. That's 6 opportunities to put up 2 goals and get this game at least to overtime and grab a point. You gotta hope this doesn't come back to haunt them later this season as the SMJHL race is tight now and they're battling for the top spot with Anaheim among other teams. On the other hand, not all special teams were bad as their penalty kills were perfect. There's a silver lining to everything, back to you in the studio John!
