i did what i do for pretty much any special event when it comes to choosing an outfit. go to salvation army like the day before... or hell even day of, a few hours before it kicks off. i know that sounds a little wacky but honestly... it's not about how much you spend, it's about how good you look. it's all about finding one perfect piece. an awesome tie, a sick blazer, or some vibrant ass dress shirt, then building the outfit off of it. obviously i knew going in to it that i'd want to represent Manhattan so i was looking for anything red, black, white, or gray. while a tie is normally the last thing i look for, a particular one caught my eye as i walked by.
i mean... how could i pass that up? it all just kinda fell into place after that. white shirt, black vest, red coat, gray pants. boom. done. easy.
