Audi Star of the Game: Kenji Yoshimura
![]() Tonight's Audi Star of the Game is Anchorage's Kenji Yoshimura. The Armada's star forward had assists on all 3 of their goals tonight as he helped set up his teammates for Victory. Yoshimura's game wasn't perfect as he had a rough outing in the faceoff circle but he made up for it by finding his teammates with picture perfect passes to help his team steal this game. Yoshimura blocked a shot and generated 3 shots of his own while also getting an assist in his 3 and a half power play minutes. He had exactly the kind of game a team needs from their star player to steal a win when they aren't at their best. Tide Flop of the Game: Griffith Cadwalader ![]() Tonight's Tide Flop of the Game is Montreal's Griffith Cadwalader. It was a rough night at the office for Griffith who was basically invisible for the Militia tonight with no hits, shots or blocks in almost 16 minutes of ice time. Cadwalader was also a -2 on the night so he was on the ice for both of Anchorage's even strength goals and none of Montreal's. Cadwalader is usually a player that Montreal relies on to kill their penalties and tonight was no different as he got almost 4 minutes of ice time on the penalty kill but was still beaten once by Anchorage's power play which ultimately made the difference in this one. Tesla Key to the Game: Goaltending Tonight's Tesla Key to the Game is goaltending. When it all came down to it, goaltending made the difference for both teams in this one as Montreal won 48 faceoffs compared to Anchorage's 32, giving them most of the possession in this one. They also had 11 more shots than the Armada and forced them into blocking 9 more shots but they were ultimately unable to win the game as Anchorage's Simeon Vanloon shut the door stopping 30 of 32 shots and helping backstop his team to victory in a game in which they were second best. Anchorage's goaltending is really what gave them a shot in this game and they'll surely be grateful that Vanloon came up big for them in a game where they really should've been better to make things easier on themselves. ![]() ![]() [pb]Four Star Cup Champion (GM S52)
