This was a tight matchup between the Colorado Raptors and the Kelowna Knights. One of the big game notes is a ton of penalties for both sides. Both teams had 5 power plays a piece and both teams failed to take advantage of the opportunity. Together the teams killed a total of 10 penalties as both penalty kills came up big in this game. There was a lot of stupid pentaltys taken in this game including hooking, tripping, interference. These teams both need to learn to be much more discipline in the future. If they don’t learn to play more disciplined hockey it will greatly effect their outcome in future games.

Let’s look at the final now. Colorado sweaks through with the 3-2 win vs the knights. Colorado through pucks to the net all game long and that proved to be a successful method in this hockey game! They through a total of 33 shots at Haas in this game. The raptors got goals from
Valentine-Okoli, Coitus-Wagg and Knurtsson in this matchup and proved they have depth scoring. Another reason Colorado won in my opinion is because they were the better team in the face off circle winning 40/75 draws. Also Colorado has great defence with a monstrous 15 shot blocks on the night.

There’s many players who had great games but only one can be the monster performer of the game. Today’s winner is no other then Raptors, Jules Watt. He played a total of 22:20 in this game including 4:06 on the penalty kill. Watt was a big part of the penalty kill tonight as he cleared the puck out on multiple occasions. This guy is one of the best penalty killers on the team in my opinion. Watt also had one assist on the night and finished as a +2. Also he put some good shots on net and through one big hit. This guy earned the monster performer of the night by putting in a great effort and being a big part of this Colorado victory.
