PGS S47 Game 112 - Detroit vs Kelowna
#3

1. PLAYER VS. PLAYER

This player versus player match up will be a little different, the criteria for today will be 3rd liners, either 3rd pair or 3rd forward line. We will be placing Satoshi Zigzagooney of Detroit's 3rd defensive pair against Liam Hutchinson of Kelowna's 3rd forward line. First category is points. Zigzagooney put up 2 points, both assists and had a +/- of +3 with zero shots on goal while Hutchinson also had 2 points, assists, a plus minus of +1 on 2 shots. The winner of the first category will be Satoshi Zigzagooney with his slightly better plus minus in the game.  Falcons The next category is defensive stats, Satoshi had 5 hits with zero shots blocked to Liam's 1 hit also without a blocked shot. Satoshi wins again with the extra hits.  Falcons The third and final category will look at all other statistics comprised of penalty minutes and minutes played to help decide who was the better 3rd liner in this game. Zigzagooney played 19:19 minutes without a single penalty in the game and Hutchinson played 13:48 minutes, while totaling 9 minutes in the penalty box. Normally the least amount of minutes played between the two players wins this category as their points are so close for the time difference but tonight Zigzagooney will take all 3 categories as Hutchinson's penalties are just too much. Better player, Satoshi Zigzagooney of  Falcons .

2. GAME CHANGING MISTAKE

Today's game changing mistake in this game comes early on in the first period after Kelowna scored the fiist goal of this game. Very early in the game, Bergenty scores to put the Knights up 1-0 at just the 43 second mark into the period. This momentum is normally a good thing in hockey although today it was a curse in disguise for Kelowna. Being up 1-0 so early in the game caused the Knights to get too comfortable thinking they had this game against Detroit in the bag and their comfortability cost them greatly. Not long after their first goal, Detroit would go on to score 6 unanswered goals in a row and the 6-1 deficit was just too much to overcome even with a couple more of their own later in the game.

3. THREE STAR ANALYSIS

1.  Falcons Espen Knutsen Jr.: Espen had an unreal performance in this game and is clearly the right choice for the first star. Knutsen put up a total of 6 points in this game, 4 of which were goals, 1 of which was the game winning goal. He ended the night with a +/- of +5, 7 shots on net all in 21 minutes played on the first line wing.

2.  Falcons Josh Driver: Driver had a 5 point game and it's not surprise he cracked the three stars of the game with the second star. Josh put up 5 points tonight with 2 goals, 3 assists, one of them being a primary assist on Knutsen's game winning goal. Driver ended the night as a +5 with 3 shots on goal (great shooting %) and 1 hit in almost 19 minutes played on the first line wing.

3.  Falcons Raino Kyllonen: The "playmaking god" as fans have referred to him after tonight's performance. Raino totalled 4 points this game, all of them assists, he was a +5 for the game, no penalties, 1 shot, 2 hits with just over 19 minutes played on the first line. very deserving of 3 star honours.
