Sometimes, it doesn't matter what state you're in during the season. When you head to face your rivals, the setting changes. You want to come out with not only 2 points, but bragging rights as well. Facing Lethbridge was exactly that, at least standings-wise. Stats were just about equal in almost all categories. In the 6 times that Anaheim played Lethbridge, the Outlaws won three times, with one being in a shootout, and lost three times as well. In those games, however, the Outlaws had no trouble letting out their physical side against them. Of all teams faced, Lethbridge was the team hit second most, 92 times. Of course, this aggression displayed would lead to time in the box, and in Lethbridge's 21 PP opportunities, they did put 5 in the back of the net. However, the Lions did have their own PK struggles as well, allowing 8 goals in 25 opportunities. That 68% PK is the worst against among all teams they face. It doesn't help that just over 54% of draws were taken in the Lions' zone, and Westbroek, McShotty, and Rockatansky are 3 of the best face-off takers in the league. That can give a team a real boost, especially come playoff time.
