Task #1

Siberia Sports Interview with Mika Kandinsky after Playoff Elimination:

SS: Mika, the Scarecrows were just eliminated in seven games against the Anaheim Outlaws.  What's going through your mind?

Mika:  It's really disappointing for us to have been eliminated in the semi finals.  We really wanted to go the distance and take home a fourth championship in a row.  Everyone played hard and we had some good games.  We just didn't get the job done in the end.

SS:  What was it like as a rookie to have such a deep playoff run?

Mika: I learned a lot about what it takes to play professional playoff hockey.  I scored a couple of goals which was nice for me, but I'm just sad we didn't make it to the finals.  I'm going to work real hard in the offseason and hopefully come back next season and have a bigger role on the team and hopefully help us make another deep run.

Task #3

Siberia Sports Big Play of the Game:
Game 2 of the finals between  Militia and  Outlaws

You need to rise to the occasion when your team faces adversity in the playoffs.  Sometimes, things just don't go your way and you need to dig deep and make things happen.  The Anaheim Outlaws can look at Chuck Goody III as a prime example of this philosophy.  After the Outlaws had a huge goal overturned for them in the second period, followed by a Militia goal, things were looking pretty bleak and the morale of the team could have taken a hard nose dive.  Instead of getting down, they got angry and inspired.  The team began to surge and were able to tie the game up in the third period.

That's what sets the stage for the heroics by Chuck Goody III for Anaheim.  Battling back from the two goal swing with the game tied, Goody found himself streaking down an open wing into the Militia zone in the dying minutes of regulation.  His linemate, Seemu Telanne was with the puck on the opposite wing also coming in with speed.  Telanne wires a pass through the defense to a very open Goody, who one-times a blast past the Militia goaltender to take the lead 4-3 late in regulation!  Goody completes the comeback and puts the Outlaws ahead and sets them up to win the game as the regulation clock dies out.  What a comeback and it's Siberia Sports Big Play of the Game!

Task #5

Mika Kandinsky will be posting his off season training progress periodically throughout the off season.  Mika feels as though he can inspire other young athletes to work hard by posting his workouts and his progress as he trains and gets stronger in preparation for his next season in the SMJHL.  Mika wants to show how tough it is training in Siberia to the world so they can see where he came from and how he was raised to play hockey.  Mika feels it's important to be a good role model to younger players as he's seen what good role models has done for him at the professional level.  He wants to give back and inspire a younger generation as he starts his journey into professional hockey.  This is the inspirationion for him starting up an instagram to show his training techniques to help other young players get better and to learn the game further.
