1st Period
The first period is a low scoring affair. Anchorage only musters up 5 shots in the period, while Vancouver puts up 9. At 9:45 into the game, Vancouver Whaler Kathwyrm Hepbjorn gets the first goal, with the help of Artem Mozgov and Andy Kerr. This goal gives the Whalers the 1-0 lead heading into the second period.

2nd Period
The second period ends up being almost identical to the first period in terms of shots and goals. The Whalers keeps exploiting their game and it's working against the Armada. The Armada can not figure out how to beat Vancouver in this game. The puck keeps getting to Whalers and they have been shooting when they get the puck. Vancouver Whalers add to their lead at 11:01 when Jan Zacha scores his 2nd goal of the season, with the assistance of Sami Rieder and Jon Forty-One. Vancouver had 10 shots and Anchorage had 6 shots. Through two periods it’s now 2-0 for Vancouver, and shots are 19-11 for Vancouver.

3rd Period
The third period sees a comeback from Anchorage. At 9:59, Jonas Larsen scores his 3rd of the season, with the help of Stavros Halkias and Johnny Sins; the lead is cut in half. At 14:25, Elijah Jones scores his 3rd of the season with the help of Jonas Larsen and Stavros Halkias, at 14:25. Through regulation time, it’s tied at 2-2, Vancouver leads in shots 31-22.

Overtime/Shooutout
Not much goes on in this overtime. 3 shots by the Vancouver Whalers and 1 shot by Anchorage Armada. Theo Morgan of the Vancouver Whalers gets a hit and Brock Emmerton of the Anchorage Armada gets a hit in this overtime. The shootout begins, Olivier Cloutier is stopped by Kasperi Braulin. Then Peter Larson stops Jon Forty-One. These goalies then proceed to stop Spencer MacLean, Jared Lammi, Raphael D’Alcott, and Mike Richard. Then, courageously, Elijah Jones of the Anchorage Aramada manages to figure out Kasperi Braulin and put the shootout in Anchorage’s favor. With the game on his stick, Vancouver Whalers’ Sami Rieder misses the net.
