Raiders’ Knight Impresses in Defeat Against Militia

Halifax Raider Haley Knight was in top form in Saturday’s 5-3 loss to the Montreal Militia. The offensively gifted defenseman tallied a goal and assist, as well as putting in 21 high quality minutes for the Atlantic Canada club.

An associate coach was not at all reluctant to sing her praises once the teams left the ice. “I know it’s not a great thing when you lose a game like that, with the goals against coming in the third. But I can tell you the staff here at Halifax know full well the kind of player she is, you know, and when someone plays that well for you and still loses, well, it breaks your heart.”

Despite her effort amounting to no points for the Raiders in the standings, Knight was not at all despondent when leaving the arena. She was seen joking around with fellow defensemen FR Finn-Rhys and Oliver Klozoff, who had stolen the cap from rookie defenseman Adam Barron’s head and refused to give it back. ■
